New to this P1 and this thread as well, just bought mine a used unit yesterday at rm800 c/w with box and accessories.

Most of the everything goes fine, except all the contacts in sim does not readable by the device. I am using celcom 3g sim card, changing to other non 3g sim card also with the same result. I have to re-enter manually my sim contacts again. btw, just update the firmware vis seus successfully but the bug is still there.

The contacts are still there but not readable by using the device, I need to use other phone to view, copy manually on the piece of paper, deleted the contacts put back the sim into my P1 and re-enter all the contacts again. I believe there are some incompatabilities by P1 the read the sim contacts that been saved previously by other models instead of P1.

Your file that you are going to install, save it into your device first and run it from there.

Mind to tell us what really happened before your set goes corrupted? was it caused by modding or improper firmware upgrading?

I am using XPlore to manage the file, is it normal whenever we open Xplore the screen brightness will increase? anybody noticed this. However it will back to normal setting after we let it run after awhile.

Xplore is another option which actually I have both swissmanager v1.6 and xplore the ahem version. PM me if you need any of those as we will be cursed into hell if we discussing it openly here

Pls recommend me what is the good application for me to lock/encrypt desired folder? some 'goody' things need to be keep in private lerr

fuhh, my phone couldn't start after I am playing around with camera modding... yeah to make it speed up video recording up to 30fps instead the default 15fps. It happend when I tried reverting back to default by deleting the pasted files in C. After restart my phone goes black, had some thoughts that my phone bricked.

Installed again the firmware vis seus and evething goes fine again. huyeey! the lessons, mod at your own risk.

Thera is a standard option how to make your front clock bigger but you have to disable the standby application under the device option... but no longer shortcut apps in our screen.

Just upgrade the quickoffice to the version provided in 1st page, but there is a problem, any files created either .doc or .txt in file manager, it can't be open or deleted.. it will be an error display. But if I view the same file from the quickoffice itself it can be read. This is the 2nd time happend and I reflash the FW again, upgrade the quickoffice but the problem occured again. Is this the bug with the new version?

Thanks for the reply, just reflashed my fw again without upgrade the quickoffice to the latest version (i had it enough with error of opening doc file in file manager), installed document to go but it return back quickoffice as docs viewer after restarting the phone which at first document to go is a default viewer. Never mind lah, older quickoffice also can use also as long it does not caused any error while viewing it.

In order to hack into walkman 3 you need to update the latest fw. Please read the 1st page, you'll find useful instructions given.

Maybe SE now see WM as profitable investment compare to UIQ, the Xperia as an example.

Some people might be looking high and low for some hidden system folders inside the phone. To unhide these folders and also to unlock the system, we need software like Capswitch and Xplore or Swissmanager. The 1st page explained it all.

yes, you can browse internet by using your P1i wifi, but please remember not all wireless router support the P1i. If you ready to fork out some extra bucks from your pocket, WM should be the best choice. Just my opinion.

No I don't think you can reflash yr fw manually apart from SEUS. The C button must be remain be HOLD until your are prompt to release it, sometime it can take longer and sometime in my case without pressing C also can proceed to the next step

I am already mod my sound to 'sound monster' last month, please be remember that you'll hear some slightly different only in headphone or external speaker mode. But your device speaker will become softer in my case. Dun worry, there is solution if you read further.

The flash driver will extract and install itself during press the C button, there is no need to install manually.

Or would we say, maybe the CDA update server for GW is not so free to handle requests at the moment. Mine is using CDA Singapore Latin, been updating SEUS for many time due to improper modding and each update went very smooth.
