It has been some time I didn't come to this forum. even though I'm Pi use for sometime. tongue.gif

I really like this phone. I keep on adding things into the phone (I mean data). So, is there anyway I can "lock" this phone? I mean if 1 day someone stole it or I accidentally drop it. I don't wan my private data to be seen (of course those credit card nos or bank account lah. Not my naked photo. Ha.a.aa.... biggrin.gif)

Did anyone ask this question before?

Yesterday I borrowed my phone to my brother to try on with his simcard (Maxis). But, just now I realized that all the new records of the incoming call, SMS won't show the contact name. It only show the numbers. But, the number is already in my phone book.

What should I do to make it back to show the contact name? sad.gif

I don't know did anyone ask this question before.

I was thinking of getting a 2G memory card.

First Question.
I did install a few software in the memory card, can I just simply copy the whole thing to the new card? Will it work as usual?

Second question.
If I wan to put back my old card (for photo taking purpose only), can I just simply take it out without switching off the phone or what should I do. I mean what is the right way to do it?

Bro, i did not come across with that problem till now. If that error occur when you open your SMS and read, try reading them slowly. Slowly in a sense that, click NO when a SMS comes in. Then, manually click on Messaging, Inbox, then read the message from there. Does the error still appearing?
Q1. You can't do that. You need to reinstall all your application/programs in your new memory card
Q2. Yes, you can take in/out of your memory card without needing to turn off your mobile. But, it may take a few minutes for the phone to process the new memory card stuff inside.
**Changing too often, i'm afraid someday, your phone might face problem detecting memory card due to often changing cards. Beware

Oh...

Really...
Thanks for reply.
I thought it's like a camera. U can change the card when u have finished that. sweat.gif

steel2k2,

Thanks again for replying.
I got one more question which I don't really understand. U said that all the programs have to be reinstall if I were to get a new memory card. So, will I get any conflict with my phone coz I'm installing the software that I used to use in the previous card. Will there be any problem with the phone?

Hi,

Anyone having problem with the connection of the plug of this phone?
I mean when I plug in the charge or cable to the phone. It's getting harder to make it connect.

Is it a common problem? or can it be fixed?

Yeah, I actually did notice that it's quite hard to connect the phone to the computer at times.

*grumble* There's not enough medical software for UIQ other than MSDict.

So, is there anything we can do? Or this is how it goes?

If you have trouble plugging in the cable for recharging or connecting to the computer, sometimes the connectors are dirty / dusty. Just use a clean cloth (I use my shirt >.<) to wipe the bottom of the phone where the pins will contact, and try again.

If you have trouble getting SE PC Suite to "see" your phone, I've found that after your phone runs continuously for too long (~2 weeks?), your PC won't be able to detect it. Just restart the phone and / or PC and it should be fine after that.

Thanks for your reply. Even I "clean" the connectors. It still doesn't work. I have to plug and unplug to make it work.

I don't have problem for Pc to "see" me. It's more to the connectors. I need to adjust a bit then it work.

Anyway, just sharing and wanna to thank everyone for replying to me.
Thanks!!

blush.gif Oh I see, ok i remember after you install the installer SEUS rite, after you start it, they will need you to wait again for like 1 hours plus plus to download with a screen asking you to wait for downloading, so you just wait flex.gif , after like reaching 2 hours the screen still showing the same thing.
Remember, now you just try to restart your pc and repeat start the installer, they will ask you to wait again, but this time it will be very fast, it will show a screen asking you to flash your phone with holding C button and then release, after release then just place your phone connected with your pc for like 45min to 1 hour, then you are done, your phone is fully update and please kindly on it. rclxms.gif
mad.gif Attention: During the flashing time i remember that the phone will appear the SE logo and off again, please clam down, it is just a normal response which i think it is restarting itself and off again, just leave it! tongue.gif
whistling.gif This is based on my recent experience, the earlier flashing by other people might defer. Hope this help biggrin.gif

hmm.gif OK, i think it restart itself to improve the system performance tongue.gif
Remember: you could always free up your memory by going to the task menu to end some of the unneeded application to increase its memory, if you dont have swissmanager and x plorer  brows.gif

Khenglc,

I do understand what you are explaining. But, I always do restart (at least once a week). So, I don't think there's memory problem with it.
I don't even know when is it being shut down and I try to switch it on again, but failed. I try to remove the battery for a while and try but it doesn't work. rclxub.gif

And now, I keep on trying to on it. It suddenly can be switched on. I hope it won't turn off itself again.
Do u know what is going on? or anyone tried this before?

Mine is an AP phone and still under warranty, do you think I should go to claim for warranty?
hmm.gif

Added on November 5, 2008, 9:19 pmI found out something interesting...

It says my battery is low...
But, my battery is about 80%. Why does it suddenly say it's battery low?

Gosh...
