if lidat then SE should produce phones using S60 platform then smile.gif

yeah, too bad UIQ is going down and S60 going to rise. Hopefully S60 could be better in time. Nokia 5800 is a good sign, first touch screen s60.

btw, i got over my sceptic and got myself a Holux M-241 to pair it with my P1i. It works! and garmin 5 is smooth. why i choose this model? coz it's a standalone logger with a useful lcd panel. been using it for a few weeks already.

this upgrade just extend its usefulness for a very long time. the only downside, battery life is significantly shorter. garmin itself is using 4M ram, bluetooth, backlight, voice..... huge drain. with full charge, it can last for 4-5 hour journey and enuf power for a day of normal phone use before need charging.

u using malsing or malfree map?

map detail u put wat level arrr? i put normal, it seems lag...

i used malsing before, now malfree. i support malfree cause.
at the very first time i used it, it feel no lag (v1.31). then i adjust some setting and update to latest map (v1.34) and notice some lag. revert to default setting, less lag a bit. but i read somewhere, it could be coz of the map version. i still listening to mfm forum for cure.

i only know about malsing map nia.. what is malfree? can give me the url for malfree? ty

just google malfreemaps.

IMHO, built in gps drain too much power from already power-hungry smartphone. which the main reason i chose holux M-241. standalone logger powered by a single AA battery. even its bluetooth connection can be turn off to save power when used as logger. love the lcd display too. Easy.

i love P1i touchscreen responsiveness but QWERTY RULES! 5800 Tubians can't sms while taking corner at 140km/h. we can! just don't get caught by police laugh.gif
