Your message incomplete issue, I have also faced it before. Basically it occurs in the following scenario: your phone just received an sms -- but has not downloaded the message completely OR did not fully write to your inbox yet. Quick person to respond that you are, you press the read SMS button, and this somehow interrupts the incoming SMS --> your incoming SMS is corrupted and you get the "message incomplete" error.

Normally I face this issue when restarting / turn off and on the phone and I receive a few SMS in a row.

For CapsSwitch, you do not copy it into C. Just install it as a normal *.sis file.
THEN set it to "Capabilities OFF". After which you will be able to see your sys/bin.

The old version of CapsSwitch required the user to copy & paste files. The new version of CapsSwitch is a *.sis file.

IMHO it's just the way the phone handles incoming messages. My fix is a bit low-tech --> when your phone alerts you to an sms, don't view it immediately; give it like 1 or 2 seconds.

If the message is corrupted ("message incomplete") I have never been able to retrieve it after that. It's gone gone gone.

1) It's okay if you can't find those files. Just proceed as usual.

2) Don't use symbian signed online. Use method 2 as posted on the first page.

If I'm not mistaken you can change the INI file settings. Refer to 1st page for more details.

I was thinking about it and I have doubts about how "good" this WLAN mod really is. Just at the top of my head, I'm guessing it boosts signal strength by *a lot* through changing some numerical parameters --> if this is so, then the phone battery life would be severely shortened when using WiFi for long periods.

This guess is made because the mod only consists of an INI (text) file. Can anyone confirm my guess?

If you have trouble plugging in the cable for recharging or connecting to the computer, sometimes the connectors are dirty / dusty. Just use a clean cloth (I use my shirt >.<) to wipe the bottom of the phone where the pins will contact, and try again.

If you have trouble getting SE PC Suite to "see" your phone, I've found that after your phone runs continuously for too long (~2 weeks?), your PC won't be able to detect it. Just restart the phone and / or PC and it should be fine after that.

You want to VNC into your phone from your computer, or VNC into your computer from your phone?
