Hi,
Been looking into getting a NAS and have been reading this topic. And the HP Microserver popped up here but have a few things that still not clear. Please bear with me.
My intended setup: PC as downloader ---> HP Microserver OR Buffalo Linkstation Pro Duo ---> Gigabit LAN ---> media player
- I read a few users here got the Microserver for Rm900
- Can the microserver be used as a downloader using megaupload or other hosts?
- can media players with LAN able to access the microserver without the DLNA on it?
Thanks.

QUOTE(mitodna @ Dec 4 2010, 12:01 PM) For HP Microserver: 1. You can load any OS (x86) on HP Microserver 2. Once loaded, you can use it like used to be, thus, you may skip the PC as downloader 3. Depends on loaded OS, I got Windows 7 PC, communicating with Seagate FreeAgent Theatre+ , works fine Haha...such coincidence...that is exactly the same media player i am planning to get! So i guess I could settle for the microserver, but what about the price...how much did you paid for it? Any additional load out? Was looking at the drivers for microserver on HP, only windows server...compatible with windows 7 too? This post has been edited by WildChai: Dec 4 2010, 04:08 PM
