Other than synology NAS, which other NAS can dl from Megaupload (premium) ? Hows the download performance of synology from Megaupload? On par with JDownloader/IDM using PC?

I was initially looking at D-link 323, but seems that nobody make a hack to dl megaupload yet even though its open source sad.gif.

Oh yah im looking for 2-bay HDD NAS, for home use. its suppose to sit on a normal document tray together with the tm's dlink wireless modem, size is also a constraint tongue.gif.

Stick to Jdownloader (FTW). Been using Synology for the past 4-5 years and still waiting for a Jdownloader for it. The Sdownloader is nowhere close to Jdownloader.

I'm currently temporary using my notebook to download via JDownloader. But later on I'll be removing the laptop and I would want to delegate the downloading tasks to the NAS. Is Synology the best option available for a NAS which can support MU downloads?

I just need basic functionality in downloading enough for me. A NAS that can dl from MU with premium is enough (of course must support password as a lot of sites now got passwords).

HP Proliant microserver a bit overkill for me already.

I'm very curious how come the price difference between a 2 bay and 4 bay NAS is so huge?!

Ive been thinking, is it possible to connect a hp laserjet 1010 to the usb port of the dlink dns-320? Im afraid that since my LJ is a host-based printer, it might not work.

320 has been priced like that in KL even before 2012 in All-IT mall for example.. Yes the 320, not the 323..
*
but the 320 spec is better than the 323 right? But the 323 is priced higher than 320...

can't remember bro becoz i have basically take this out from my NAS list due to poor comments found on the net.

Added on February 9, 2012, 11:16 amif u guys don't mind an over spec HP model just for media storage, u may consider ML110 G6, $1388 promo price according to the reseller.
*
oh really? My friends who have been using the 323 have no complaints with it so far, not sure with the 320 since its still quite new.
My budget for a NAS is only RM300 for the casing...$1388 is too sweat.gif

Well I'm waiting for the Red drives to reach Penang...so far no shop carry them yet (not to mention Green drives still cost a bomb here).

Thinking of putting a 3TB red into my DNS320...should be no problem right?

Looking at the figures quoted on test results looks really bad... the results are the 440 version but it and the 400 version have the same hardware and software, just looks and that the 440 comes pre-loaded with drives.

Seagate BlackArmor NAS 440 Reviewed - Performance

we are talking about at or usually below 35MBps
*
The performance is about the same or worse than my DNS 320 in 100Mbps ethernet shocking.gif

for data backup & access i think should be fine...not very sure about its performance in media streaming
