3D 2N? That's a bit too much I think. 1 night should be enough, IMHO. Things to do: Take pictures, fill up the memory card in your digicam. Horse riding if you fancy, and there's a rabbit farm there.

Bukit Tinggi Resort ~ Colmar Tropic ale, Japanese Garden, Japanese Botanical Garden, Rabbit Farm, French Castle, Golf and Country Club...
This resort is more to relaxing favorite ... it suits couple really! The scenery and the environment is cool and calm! On the street during the night, the will be some clown, magic show, performances, swallow fire performances, and during the nite, it was very romantic de... But all these performances only happen during the weekend, public or school holidays... other day got but lesser n you shud check with them!

Colmar Tropic ale... Buffet expensive, dining there very expensive one! Got Archery, Horse Riding, Last Time got slot machine... (now no more coz no License)

Japanese Garden
... U can try and wear Kimono (Japanese Costume) RM20 each for unlimited hours within a day n go snap shot with ya costume around tat area! And got Tea Fellowship ... in that Japanese Hut, tasting how Japanse serve tea and so on ... and there is Tea somekind of Arts quite boring if u dunno how to enjoy it! Got four leaf clover there if u too bore ... u can search for it ... quite many haha^^

Japanese Botanical Garden ... Got 1 Japanese Restaurant n 1 Tatami Spa there ... and the services was very expensive! Tatami Spa is quite nice i heard but u gotto spend quite $$ for it biggrin.gif In tat garden, if you lucky enough, you might see some gorrilla and orang utan, got hornbil bird there too!

Rabbit Farm... Well... no comments... quite many rabbit... behind got some rain deer, donkey riding, paintball, archery...

Bukit Tinggi Resort... Team vs Team Paintball Games in old driving range... Bowling and Snookering ...n many more

If you like excitement, Bukit Tinggi may not be the place that you may go! Spend one nite there shud be ok unless you wanna travel around Kampung Bukit Tinggi, or may be Bentong! If u want more extreme... den i suggest you go Genting ba!

In the old Bukit Tinggi which was a kampung there ... There's was a "Private Zoo"! Is a Private area...

Famous with Pisang Susu 牛奶焦 (Red/purple colour type of pisang, quite big and large), River Fish, foods, Ginger Bentong, Veges and many more...
Famous with Seafood Restaurant... Selesa Hillhomes nothing much there le!
That's Bukit Tinggi

Along the way to Bentong: Hutan Lipur Lentang... very nice for river bathing, it will b pack during weekend and holiday time! One of the biggest Petronas Perhentian there with Buffet Style Restaurant inside!

Old Road From Bentong to Bukit Tinggi and also KL: Natural Hot's Spring (can boil haf boil egg but take longer time), 7 Miles(something like hutan lipur lentang), Malaysia Hutan Tropic Resort, Camping Area, along the old road ... near to Plaza Toll Bentong, you will see some orchards resort, is another private area but still you can try out ... Many Orchard... if u like durian do try out Bentong Famous Type : 毛山王 ... Around RM12 ~ 20/kg! And many orchard resort inside there ...

In Bentong, there's famous with foods if you know where to go, Tom Yam, Ice Kacang, Ice Cream, Nasi Kerabu and many more... Also famous with Hutan Lipur Chamang, "Morning Jog" at Graveyard ... haha^^

No direct bus go to Bukit Tinggi, best if you can drive around with cars!

just drive there as the road is not as bad as Genting. 1 day trip or 1 day overnight is good enough ... while on the way back to KL look out for restaurants on your left (its like a sub-old-kampung-road) .. i tried the wild boar meat, steam fish, and frogs ... awesome!

Bukit Tinggi is fun if you go in a huge crowd...we took lots and lots and lots of picture.....but walking up and down the hills was very tiring - at least for me tongue.gif......I went there for 2D 1N...had BBQ at night then walk walk around all the villages the next day and take photo...the last time (also my first time) I went there, i think they are constructing a Spanish village (not sure true or not)...wonder if it's done....however, the scenery there is really nice....i took a few photo and it look like some painting....my sis asked me if it is real or only a painting....

Although I do love nature a lot, Berjaya Hills are quite boring place with low maintenance by Berjaya itself. You have to pay a lot but its not worth what you get. Food was good in term of taste and price. I rather pay extra money for toll and fuel to get into Cameron than this hills.

Have to agree with that, Cameron offer more natural view and have that feel of higher places with cold weather, tea orchad and etc.
But the pics at Colmar is quite beautiful, and I think 1 day trip is enough.

Been there too, nothing much too do really. The food is quite expensive too, especially when it is peak season. The japanese village, is quite nice, but if I'm not mistaken, have to pay money. If i'm wrong please correct me on this.

I've just been to Bukit Tinggi and many other local spots in Malaysia...

My opinion is that there is not much to do even in the Colmar resort, but I absolutely loved them rabbits. So cute! rclxms.gif

Some of the hills along the way up, are covered in pristine jungle, although most are secondary forest.

This is only for people who like peace and solitude, but make sure to bring $$$ along. An ice lemon tea can cost you $6++!!

I liked the Japanese Tea Garden, but very expensive to stay overnight.

The weather is cool, but not so cold as to be freezing, and the air is quite fresh. A nice retreat place overall.

I want to go to berjaya hill in october but the problem is i don't know whether there are any van or transportation to go there.
I prefer not to drive. So guys and girls from ipoh can give me any ideas where to find transportation to go there?
Share your experience if you have been there before? Such as price, food or attractions.

Thanks!!

I was in BT for the weekend, stayed at selesa resort. Got it for RM280 for a 3 bedroom apartment. It takes about 45 minutes or so to reach from KL. If you're staying at Selesa, make sure you go the Kampung Bukit Tinggi, got lots of chinese restaurants which are SO affordable!

That maps is zoom-out maps-lah..very basic..& berjaya hill is just Easr of Genting ..Nothing related to Fraser..fraser is located closer to Perak border near Kuala Kubu, Tg malim Perak area. Going there u need to use either Rawang or Bkt Beruntung exit from NSE..whereas, Genting/Verjaya using the same route to Kuantan...diff

I REALLY wouldn't recommend BT as a honeymoon spot, nothing much to do. I've been to Colmar Tropicale and found it too boring. The most just stay there one night is enough.

Which is the best? Anyone have any experience to share? I'm thinking a honeymoon there actually tongue.gif Anything to do over there?

Is Colmar Tropicale the best? http://www.berjayahotel.com/berjayahills/gallery.asp

Yeah for me Colmar Tropicale is a good place for me to escape from the bustle of city life.
Especially at night. Cozy and u can enjoy nice view or have a walk in the French-style village.

But i wouldn't recommend/suggest u to go there for honeymoon.

Getting To Bukit Tinggi Resort

There are buses operated by Bukit Tinggi Resort that takes visitors up to Colmar Tropicale and back. You can take the shuttle bus at Berjaya Times Square or KL Plaza at Bukit Bintang.

Further information can be obtained by calling +6 09 288 8888.

i see, how much does the bus fares cost?

if i wish to hv a one day trip to Bukit Tinggi, how much budget that i need to set and prepare? Includes the entrance fees and other entertainment fees. which is the most recommended entertainment there? i heard it is mostly visiting and embracing the nature only is it?hmmm...

plan to have only a one day trip there as i planned to book my accomodation at KL which may be much cheaper.

The bus depart from Berjaya Times Square KL twice a day; 9.30am and 2.30pm. While, depart from Bukit Tinggi is at 12pm and 4.30pm.

The fare is RM40.00 for return trip (adult/child same price) and for one trip is about RM25.00 (adult/child). Or, you can contact the person-in-charge, Mr. Aziz at +6012-224-4208.

bring RM500 enough for 2 pax

been there during 2000. It was okay. Very calm indeed.. hehehe

if u're planning to have a getaway and relax, this place would be ideal.. If i'm not mistaken, it used to have a pool and a disco ( i remembered as it was my 1st time entering a disco at that age... laugh.gif)

Been there twice and blogged about it. It's a fairly quiet place with not much to do. I went with my cousins so that was so much fun. But if for couples - unless you're okay with staying in and doing nothing, wouldn't really recommend this place.

hey peeps. went up there with my missus as told, and we enjoyed the place.

we were torn between selesa and colmar tropicale, and i have to say that selesa is definitely the better place if youre going there as a couple. calm, quite, almost deserted kind of feeling - just you with that special person. you can even afford to go loud in your room and nobodys gonna come over and tell you to shut up. good food is 3 minutes drive away at bukit tinggi township - had myself a 'sun hock' fish steamed lightly with accompaniments.

colmar wise , its a bit too far of a drive to begin with, and the fact that so many people visit the place everyday, it kinda takes away the quiet and serenity of the place. not to mention expensive food too. no doubt its beautiful and stuff, but it is better suited to those who travel in groups.

hope this is helpful to help some future readers to make decision.

I heard it is a good place and I want to visit this as well but I am quite afraid about the danger that I may face because of the experience of my sister during her vacation. If you have ever been someplace that makes pickpockets a big deal because of the theft, you will know you will need to protect against. Travel belts are accessible to protect your money and identification, but they're often uncomfortable, unfashionable and just scream "tourist.". Shashitwear is supposedly comfortable and is secure. Law officials are worried the convenience of a hidden compartment in underwear might lead to more drug trafficking.

In my information,
From KL ( Times Square ) to Bukit Tinggi by Shuttle bus (Daily departure from Berjaya Times Square Hotel, Kuala Lumpur at 9.30am and 2.30pm)
Overnight one day over there.
The next day go to Genting Highland. Here is the problem comes. How I go to Genting Highland from Bukit Tinggi???? I heard that by cab is expensive! Any tranport I can ride to move to Genting Highland?
The buffet in France Village is need to be reserved. Who should I confirm with?

Kindly require more information to assist me. notworthy.gif

Went there for day trip. I can't understand why the Japanese Village required RM12 per entry for adult? It seems like nothing much other than the scenery to catch a little bit at there. Then about one hour, it's like already walked the whole Japanese Village including the Botanic Garden >"<

Hi there. If you're going for total relaxation, then Bukit Tinggi is a good place to unwind. But don't expect the place is like Genting...it is not as cold as Genting and the night activities are lesser in comparison to Genting.

Things to do there...you can explore their Japanese Village, their botanical garden, horse riding, rabbit park. They do have some other activities at the resort but you must check their timetable and shuttle to all these places are provided for in-house guest.

Nothing to do much at night, but they do have pool/snooker table and big screen at the open area which play movies until midnight...however their BBQ dinner is superb...makan2 will be at the resort...I don't see any mamak stall or warung nearby. Totally controlled by the resort...but the food is okay and tasty.

I would say it's a place for those who loves nature or those who loves photography, it's a good place to get great shot. Not advisable to stay more than 2 nights...

Hey peeps! wink.gif I'm organizing a class trip that has about 15 of us that are going over to Colmar Tropicale for one night stay. Is there any way that I can save up on the room rates? Can we book one or two family rooms and squeeze everyone inside? I heard that the resort is really strict and they do not allow customers to do that. Is it true?

If budget is a main concern, I suggest you don't visit Colmar as the place is designed to squeeze every Ringgit from the visitors. Food is expensive, activities is expensive and it is located so isolated for a reason. You have NO choice. For a one night trip, I suggest Frasier's Hill. More relaxing and cooler there too. You can organise hiking treks and this don't need extra money. Food is much cheaper there. biggrin.gif

my opinion...boring...unless u just want to relax...
if u plan to have kind of journey...this is not the place..

1st time i've been there...i arrived at night..i quite suprised with the french wannabe village...but when the next morning...the beatiful scene last night dissapeared...the building is totally weathered...n the maintenance seem doesn't fit..

last time i went there (june 2010), u can finish all place within a day.. it's not that big.. u can park your car at colmar & take the shuttle from there. If u have money to spend of cos u can stay overnight but IMHO it's not worth it.

Added on July 4, 2011, 4:42 pmno ppl can help me??

Added on July 4, 2011, 5:21 pmi just review back all 6 pages of berjaya hill,..so mean not recommended to stay is it??hmmmm...then i have to ask that is that de height of the berjaya hills is same as cameron, will make car suffer to climb up to berjaya hill?

Fraser Hill is a tad far from Colmar.

Seriously not recommended to stay at Bukit Tinggi, you can finish touring it within 4 hours. Pretty hot up there too, better go Cameron or Genting.

Bukit Tinggi is good for relax... not many ppl , not many entertainment...

Totally different world from Genting..

I like to go and relax over there... nothing much to do... just relax...

smile.gif The hot spring is located on the old road to Bentong. According to the info from the net it is 8 kilometers before Bentong town. If you take the exit from Genting, option 1, you have to travel further on the old road from the interchange towards Bentong or take option 2. Exit at the first Bentong interchange and upon reaching a junction turn left here. This is the old road to KL/Genting and it is about 5 kilometers from this junction. If you are visiting and driving during the day, the drive using the old road should be pleasant right from Gombak/Setapak juction, passing the old Mimaland. You can also go onto the old road from Batu Caves road from Selayang, head to Gombak.

last time i went there (june 2010), u can finish all place within a day.. it's not that big.. u can park your car at colmar & take the shuttle from there. If u have money to spend of cos u can stay overnight but IMHO it's not worth it.

I just got back from a 2D 1N trip and I enjoyed the experience.

I went to both French fine dine and Japanese restaurant. The price, IMO, is reasonable, food quality ain't bad and the service was good.

To be specific, for the fine dine, you will have to pay about 30~60 for a main course, which is about the same with spending at Victoria station. I walked out with a $170 bill for 2 persons (soup and main course), 1 dessert and 1 glass of wine. For the Japanese food, I paid $100 for 2 persons for 2 set-meals, with soup, unagi, tempura, dessert (comes with bento). The portion is larger than what you get from the KL's Japanese restaurants. Green tea is not refillable sadly.

I went to the bar too, brandy and cocktail at the price of $20 per glass. Reasonable.

If you like nature and serenity, and a little bit of sight-seeing and events (they're having 15-min Russian dance show), this place is good - and it's not a long drive.

It's a place worth staying, to counter some comments. smile.gif The night view is pretty attractive. I'm a beach person and I can tell you that, beach life can be more boring than this place sometimes.

The hot spring no longer be available to the public. It had been closed for renovation since Oct 2011! I m guess some one had privatize that area. The completion of the renovation was dated on 31 Dec 2013.

For Colmar Tropic ale (French Theme Village) + Japanese Garden/Tea House = RM10 or RM12 per person for the entrance fees unless you overnight there then only u receive entrance free pass.

here is a daily shuttle bus provided by Berjaya that runs from Berjaya Times Square, KL to Colmar Tropicale, Berjaya Hills. It runs at 10.00am, 1.00p and 5.00pm. It costs RM35.00/adult and RM30.00/child for a one way transfer. Return transfer rates are RM55.00/adult and RM50.00/child.
