My iphone first setup with my own name in itune. but today my phone hang after restart so i do press home + power 10 sec to reset. after it boot up sync to itunes but show mikey's iphone @@ . i nvr setup iphone profile at itune with mikey's iphone. now my phone hanging at springboard page. I use my house phone still able to call but iphone is not ringing and the springboard got no action at all.

I know this would be rather atrocious and unlikely, but has anyone happen to have synced his/her own iPhone using that same PC before? Or is your phone a second hand? The symptoms you mentioned are weird in the sense that it came up with such a distinctive name on its own after a mere hard reboot.

Try restarting it the right way this time, dock it and sync it again using the right name profile. If ALL of the above symptoms pursue, I wouldn't even think twice about a restore. It's looking to me like missing/damaged system files, or a full-to-the-brim root partition.

I had the mikey's iphone thingy before too. But you can just change the profile name easily using itunes. About the phone hanging at the home screen, try resetting a few times... if it continues to be like that i guess the best option is to restore.

This iphone i already restore&jailbreak few times ady. But today i home+power 10sec den stuck at apple logo like 1 to 2 minutes den go to Sb. cant do anything at sb. but still able to call my phone. weird! Did wetool will dmg my file or cause any instability to iphone? i ask that because during installation it mention compatibity issue.

this happen since last 2 days. tis 2 days i keep restore&jailbreak and install my apps back. zzz .

Okay. Relax and try your options one-by-one carefully. First, which firmware are you referring to, 1.1.4 or 2.0? If it's 2.0 you're having trouble with, repackage a new Pwned IPSW and try again.

But because you mentioned jailbreaking, I assume you're still on 1.1.4 or below. First of all, which method are you using to perform the jailbreak + unlock? iBrickr, ZiPhone, +iLiberty? All 3 should work fine under normal circumstances, but I suggest trying them one by one if either one still gives the same problematic results. Secondly and MOST of all, was it after installing a specific app that your problems began to occur (hanging, odd profile name etc.)? Or was it immediately after jailbreaking + unlocking? Right now, I'm putting my money down on one of the apps you may have installed as the culprit behind your issues. Test this by rebooting your phone PROPERLY after every app you install. This will tell you immediately whether a specific app like weDict may be causing this as you have guessed yourself. It'll take sometime, but at least at the end of the day you will know for sure what your real problem is

i using 1st gen iphone. 1.1.4 with iliberty+. I did back up everyday using iphone pc suite. So, everytime i restore&unlock&jailbreak i always restore back from Iphone pc suite. This time i going to restore my contact sms log and song and pictures only. I will try to restart for each app installed. I always reboot properly by Slide to shutdown and boot again.

Alright, good luck with that, mate. Remember to try the steps I told you of above. Post the outcome here as soon as you're done. Personally, may I add another suggestion. Instead of using iPhone PC Suite, try using only iTunes to do the syncing for you. But of course, I assume all your important data's stored in iPhone PC Suite. Just a suggestion in case you run out of options
