I understand that now car audios has plug in MP3 thumb drive.

But what can you do with it,....? What user friendly or interesting features it has?

1. Can it play songs randomly from the Plug in Thumb Drive / USB?

2. Can you store different types of songs by different folders in the USB ?

3. Can you select through your car MP3/CD Player by folders that you store in USB/Thumb drive?


I am looking for one with decent sound quality and some useful features.....
Appreciate some inputs here.....

Pioneer DEH3050UB best value for money. Comes with 2 pre-out.

RM 4xx only.

Mostly all CD player supports USB all can detect different folders.. just choose the folder and play from inside lor.. i dunno the CD player can set to random play mode or not la.. but i think it should be have.

as jimmylim85 have intro u.. pionner DEH3050UB is no disappointment..

BTW, ur budget for a HU is?

RM 300 to RM 400...

Pioneer DEH3050UB is set around RM 450

Best part you got remote control.

Besides, i'm phasing my pioneer soon... eyeing on deh6050

In comparison to same price range of RM400,.... please give some tips on pros / cons of Pioneer vs Sony vs Kenwood.
- sound quality
- features
- user friendliness

RM 450 is the HU alone, not inclusive shipping charges (unless you COD). Installation + workmanship RM 20 +/- 30 only.

- SOund quality, not really good in this but the best for Audio CD is Alpine

- Features, well current Pioneer 2008 line up seem to had lots of feature for sound quality purpose.

- User friendly is still Pioneer

anyway sound quality is not so important because its a budget unit, comparing to radio quality sure good enough.

Most important for me is user friendliness and reliability of the set.

Well some ICE people will indulge on high level, Alpine F1 series for RM 2xxx, the best thing is CD playback only + fader control and balance only. No EQ setting (if not mistaken from a F1 user)

JVC & Kenwood latest headunits are all USB slot ready as well. Been using both brands on my rides since last year & i would say value for money as well. As for sound quality, i still prefers Pioneer higher end models like 6xxx series & above. Good luck in hunting a new HU.

Same says it came from Pioneer factory in Malaysia but not under Pioneer Malaysia.

RM 450, it worths it. Save rm 200 for the same thing and only warranty procedure is albeit different.
