hi folks,
considering between daikin inverter r22 versus r410a model. the r22 model is cheaper in terms of insolation but i was wondering since r22 gas will be obsolete soon, will it be more expensive in the long run? or maybe can't even buy any r22 gas in the long run?

i'm in penang. quote i'm getting for r22 is (1.5hp)1445 for FTKD35GVM+RKD35GVM, (1hp)1140 for FTKD25GVM+RKD25GVM, (2hp) 2320 for FTKD50GVM+RKD50GVM. doesn't include installation of course. somehow the model number is slightly different. the daikin malaysia website uses the DVM while GVM appears in Vietnamese website. Some say GVM is a newer version, is it true?

Anybody have the price for Mitsubishi and daikon r410 inverter for 1hp and 2hp respectively?

Also planning to do concealed inaba piping. Been quoted rm420 and rm750 for 1hp and 2hp respectively. Installation is another rm140. Distance between indoor unit and compressor should be 12 feet or less. Location: Penang

Hi chiew, is that normal piping (with black insulator) or inaba piping (white insulator)?

Inaba piping insulator is white color while the standard insulator is the black one. The black one is more like a sponge so after a few years it will become flaky and can be peeled off easily. Since its concealed and for own stay I paid more to get inaba piping. Apparently the copper is also thicker and stronger. One contractor showed me both inaba and normal and ask me to touch and bend it to feel the difference. I heard cases of old building where water was leaking from the concealed air cond piping into the electrical wiring and causing short circuit. Had to hack the wall to troubleshoot
