Best is to get the supplier/ installer of the aircon that you intend to get to take a look at the piping and wiring. He should be the best person to advice.

Just found out that Panasonic is having a promotion where you can extend the warranty period for your Pana AC for another 2 years for RM50 per year. (for 1HP)
The 1.5 HP will be slightly more. |

Recently, I am now facing some noise problem (when the vents are set to swing) on 2 of my Pana AC. Reported the problem to Pana and they got their agent and also sent their own technician to look at them. 3 times already. Even after changing the controller board plus the discharge grille. The noise come back after a day or two.

It is from the blower unit. Noise comes about when the air vents are moving up & down and sideways. More like some friction in the moving parts. However, the noise is not constant. Most likely when the vent is at certain direction or what. Anyway, it is quite irritating especially at night. So as temp measure, had to turn off the air vent swing.

QUOTE(sue.chan @ Dec 15 2011, 11:49 PM) Need some advice here. The previous pana model that I had for a few years is OK. I hv been told by a shop at SS2 just now that Panasonic air cond is out of stock due to flood in Thailand. Then he highly recommended me York. Went to another shop a few doors away and I was told Panasonic air cond is assembled in msia. But It's not recommended due to high consumption of electricity, noisy and it vibrates. Then he highly recommended me Mitsubishi. Any feedback from current Panasonic user ? For the newer model, still having noise problem from the blower unit on 2 of the 4 units. Even the Pana's technician have yet to resolve the problem |

QUOTE(leeyung @ Dec 16 2011, 07:59 PM) QUOTE(sue.chan @ Dec 17 2011, 08:42 AM) Which model is that may I know ? the Pana aircon models that I am having problem with right now are CU-C9MKH & CU-12MKH.Having headache now really dunno which brand to buy. Anyone here using Mitsubishi air cond. Went to 3 shops and 2 of them highly recommended it. Dunno bcoz of commission or wat... After numerous complains, pana send someone that does installation. They attempted twice and even after changing the parts, the noise came back after a few days. Then after our complain again, Pana sent their technician. This time they tried something else. Was not around when they came. It seems, one of the Pana technician said that if the problem still persist, then have to live with it or don't use the function (meaning to not allow the air swing to move) WTF! |

Actually, buying a expensive AC does not mean you have a good product. Sometimes, boils down to luck. I got Pana AC for the whole house. End up there were some problem with few of them and their after sales service sucks.

QUOTE(phoenix69 @ Jan 13 2012, 10:03 AM) I have installed 7 sets of concealed piping. Buy another 4 sets of aircon. Due to Budget not enuff, only getting 3 Air Cond. The balance air cond piping not used will have ugly piping and wires dangling from the wall. Any way or products that can cover these up ah?? OK. you could use those PVC trunking (comes in 6' length each) cut them to the required length and cover up the exposed copper piping. |

QUOTE(skng03 @ Jan 13 2012, 01:24 PM) I saw the technician just bend little bit the flipper motor steel leg and reinstalled it. I asked, he blamed their production n Qc. Thanks for the reply. Noticed that your repair was just a few days old...BTW mine is cassette unit BTW, mine are wall units. Cos mine immediately after it was done by the Pana technicians, it was OK for a day or two. After that the noise came back again. Probably because the grease that they applied during their attempts has dried up... After few attempts, they even tried to blame it on the circuit board and replace it with no success... |

QUOTE(BeastB @ Mar 30 2012, 10:50 PM) Guys, Im looking for 2 airconds....normal good airconds which will cost around rm1300-1400 (for both). Is this realistic? For rented house, appreciate if you could inform durable model selling for this price. Clearance stock, whatever...just normal airconds that can do the job. Harvey Norman sometimes has but never know when they are into 'clearance' mode. From what I have found out, for basic unit without all those inverter or what not, 1HP aircon, can get around RM900 each. Can try Panasonic, York/ Ascon, etcAny other place? A friend told me courts mammoth has cheap airconds but I've not seen any so far. Appreciate your help! |

I live in Subang...any place close by which gives me ample choice to look at? Harvey Norman doesn't have enough for my liking. To see the actual product of the various brands, etc...D'Legend & SenQ are some of them. For best price, you could also look up these LYN forumers iamsobloodysick & cam40729 |

QUOTE(Davince85 @ Apr 19 2012, 11:57 AM) Hey everyone, Varies, depending on the shop; from RM130 to RM200 Kindly ask how much the installation for air con inverter in the market... Or else who can quote the price for installation? This is for standard installations which include 10' copper piping (not conceal), compressor bracket & control wiring. Additional length of copper piping will be charge This post has been edited by kelvyn: Apr 19 2012, 11:11 AM |

QUOTE(Johore @ Apr 20 2012, 01:00 PM) If you need to run the power supply from the DB, then have to get electrician to do. around RM150/pointHave seen some sub standard wiring where the installer take the power from the nearest 13A power point; which I feel is not proper. Maybe this are done by the aircon installers This post has been edited by kelvyn: Apr 20 2012, 03:59 PM |
