Yup, that I agree.

My old house using York, after 2 years so noisy.

My brother room using Panasonic, but is quiet.

I was wondering how is Midea after sales support. Was worry of this hence did not buy Midea.

Added on January 9, 2012, 11:55 amTalk about noise, my distance neighbor, maybe 50+ feet away, when the a/c is switch on, I can hear the compressor noise... TttttTtttttzzzzzz

Now that is noisy.

Midea is distributed by Midea Scott & English Electonics Sdn Bhd (a member of DRB-Hicom) which previously distributed Goldstar brand (known as LG now) for many years in Malaysia

QUOTE(slackinux @ Jan 9 2012, 06:04 PM)
Opps...sorry...i forgot the Brand name. It is called Gree, cozy series, 2.0 HP, no inverter, plus installation RM1688, 2+6 yrs warranty. 2 years for in door unit and 6 years for compressor.

Glad to hear your Midea good to be used and value for money.
Do you use it at Master room or Living Hall? Quiet operation ?
Does your Midea air cond has value added feature such as Sharp Plasmacluster ion technology?
*
Midea air conditioner does have ioniser, plasma features in selected models.

I got Sharp air cond because the salesman claim that
1. Its durable
2. Its quiet (both indoor and outdoor)
3. Its Plasmacluster technology is the most powerful air purifier.

My 1.5 is panasonic inverter, and 2 is York ion. 1HP is all Sharp.

Because this all fit lower than my initial budget.

Buy another 4 sets of aircon. tongue.gif

OK. you could use those PVC trunking (comes in 6' length each) cut them to the required length and cover up the exposed copper piping. biggrin.gif

Care to share how York managed to solve the flipper noise problem?
Cos, on my Pana aircon have the noise with the air swing. They came 5 times to repair (putting grease, etc, etc)
Till now, still having the noise after few hours of usage. And the aircon are in the bedrooms. Damn irritating

Thanks for the reply. Noticed that your repair was just a few days old...
BTW, mine are wall units. Cos mine immediately after it was done by the Pana technicians, it was OK for a day or two. After that the noise came back again. Probably because the grease that they applied during their attempts has dried up... After few attempts, they even tried to blame it on the circuit board and replace it with no success... sad.gif
