the Pana aircon models that I am having problem with right now are CU-C9MKH & CU-12MKH.
After numerous complains, pana send someone that does installation. They attempted twice and even after changing the parts, the noise came back after a few days.
Then after our complain again, Pana sent their technician. This time they tried something else. Was not around when they came. It seems, one of the Pana technician said that if the problem still persist, then have to live with it or don't use the function (meaning to not allow the air swing to move) WTF!

Midea (looks like they are not serious for Malaysia - no Malaysia marketing website, even the Malaysia phone no is nonexistent)

*
I'm using midea for the past 1week. satisfied with it, where it's significantly cheaper than other brands. okla, i don think there are significant diff between ac brand

just a comparison, a 1.5hp inverter is at least rm500 cheaper than pana/daikin

If you plan to conceal the piping, is better to do during renovation before your contractor do wall plastering. Normal A/C installation will not hack and conceal, unless you pay them extra. Is a lump sum charges per a/c. And I can tell you their plastering skill is no where near wet work contractor.

If you are ok to have the black hose expose on the outdoor unit than can be done after renovation. The only think you need to take note if the indoor blower unit is not mount on the wall facing outside, you will have some hose expose. If that is fine.

Normal small opening holes the a/c install will be able to seal it, but usually not cement, just the normal white wall putty.
*
Sorry weikee, been absent a few days here. There's been some drama with contractor. In the end, we don't want the contractor to do piping for us and since he don't want to help us do the cementing and plastering back the conceal piping, we decided to postpone the installation, only after we moved in.

I know I would need to wash my house the second time when they wanna install aircon later, but really no choice already.

Communicating with my contractor is rclxub.gif rclxub.gif Remind, remind and remind and still he can forget this and that. I really hate when he always answers, "where got, where got".

Does it come with a string?

Most of this free installation Have a limitation. No conceal, limit length piping etc. and some will trick you more for cash.

Free on visiable piping and limit distance.
If you want conceal or extend the distance, you need to pay.
If you didn't want installation, normally will get cheaper.

Added on December 20, 2011, 12:42 amDropby ESH Puchong and look for the saleman, endup notified that he actually base on Klang not Puchong, hence early statement will need to be changed from ESH Puchong to ESH Klang suck!!! mad.gif

ANytwhere, have confirmed by the sale personal included the ESH staff at Puchong that they didn't have Mits 2HP hence will get refund back as I didn't agreed to upgraded (to 2.5HP) or downgrade (1.5HP), as that have conflict statement. My installor indicated I can downgrade to 1.5HP but can't upgrade to 2.5HP due to the piping, but ESH tech indicated can upgrade to 2.5HP but can't downgrade to 1.5HP... icon_question.gif

Maked a visit to LH electric (next to Top Ten) as recommended by a LYN member, they have stock on hand and after negotiate it only RM50 more expensive than ESH offer (during roadshow). Make a called to the ESH saleman to reconfirm that the he were do the cancellation and refune within 1 week time.

Drive to LH again, pay and go to the factory to get the 2HP...and solved one of my problem.

A joked from ESH.
Yesterday they delieved the aircons to me and together with the 2HP unit as well, and I asked the lori driver
Jo: Is this for me as well?
Drive: Yes
Jo: Is not your company said didn't have it? As I already told the saleman and he confirmed didn't have. Why you get it from?
Drive: Maybe someone delay the deliver day, hence they just take and give you, but since you didn't want, let me call the saleman...
Jo: ....

After 10 min while they unload and bring rest of items to me house, so I just call the sale personal
Jo: xxxx How come they delivered the 2HP? Is not you indicated didn't have and will do the refund? Now how? As I already have a unit with me now
Sale: Hmmm..I'm not sure, but you really didnt want it?
Jo: Yes, I didn't want it as your end already confirmed didn't have yet after i get and you delieved it...
Sale: you really didnt want it?
Jo: Yes, I didn't want
Sale: OK...I will ask the driver send back.
Jo: OK, when will I get my refund...
Sale: Next few days...
Jo: OK...make sure. Else I will complain to HQ...

And today I just installed 4 units of them thumbup.gif and damn cool when 4 units ON together except the bill will be mad.gif
* It been turned ON just because after installation and need to ON for at least an hour
