for asian cooking, many recommend FUJIHOME/FUJIOH. made in japan and might be a bit pricey to some. top rated.
those european designer hoods may look nice but ppl say not suitable for asian cooking (lot's of oil and big flame)

it is best to ask your kitchen maker to make that for you.. coz it'll match your cabinets. i got quoted for about RM600 for 14' long 'dummy' cabinet to cover the ducting. they say not recommended to use plaster ceiling to cover the ducting coz if anything happen, let's say ducting needs to be replaced, the plaster needs to be ripped off.
