Hi guys ...i m recently looking around for water filter (excluding RO water) as well, the following is my personal findings & Ratings for those commonly heard in the market:-

1) E-spring - the only filter system in Malysia CERTIFIED by NSF 42, 53 & 55 std (bear in mind is not only certified conform to NSF std) - beware alot of the products playing with this wording infact many of the local products indicated "conform to NSF std" only. Why? cause i believe it is not easy to get & maintain their certification- http://www.nsf.org/consumer/about_NSF/cert_benefits.asp
Price ard RM3,000 & replacement filter catridge cost ~RM 500/yrs (correct me if i m wrong)

2) Philips WP3890/2 (NEW)- CERTIFIED by WQA conform to NSF 42, 53 & 55 std (this machine is tested in WQA of US according to NSF std only- check it out what they had been certified in WQA)- http://www.wqa.org- Price ard RM1,400 & replacement filter catridge cost ~RM 250/yrs @ RM125 per filter /6months/ 3000 litres

3) Aquasana - Tested/ Certified by "State of California Department of Health Services" which conform to NSF 42, 53 only, Price ard RM1,000 & replacement filter catridge cost ~RM 650/yrs/ 2 sets of filters- local seller claim the filter can last for 1 year but pls be careful & check the US website 1st, it is recommended to change the filter set every 6mths or 500gallons whichever come 1st in order to prevent bacteria growth...

3) Diamond- CERTIFIED by WQA conform to NSF 42 (remove odor, chlorine, etc) & 53 but the "reduction claim" certified is on the Turbidity ONLY- check it out! VOC, lead, bacteria, virus reduction not being tested at all? Price RM1500? unsure ..too many promotion!!!

4) Nesh, Cosway-Hexagon, Pensonic, UE-tec, Dr.Sukida, RX water - No certification being published on their website or tested by any reputable lab/ even local lab! some of them have many awards...means what? dun u think that a lab certification is a lot more meaningful & important? or they expect us to send those water to the local lab & test it out ourself? it will cost u a bomb man!!! We don't know what they claimed in their brochure/website about the goodness of their system/ water quality is true or not..this is all about branding their products!!! even a doctor need ur blood test report to tell u ur health condition.. dun they need a water testing report to prove to us their water is safe to consume?

I m not a MLM member or salesman & i m still using those Cheapo type selling at TESCO/ JUSCO twin filter with 1 ceramic & 1 carbon filter cost u less that RM100.. i have been drinking this water directly thru this filter w/o boiling since 2005... i m still alive , feel like wana upgrade to a better 1.
As a result, my best bet is on the Philips filter which is more affordable, cheaper maintenance on replacement filter catridge (2 sets/ yrs & the UV light bulb can last for 7 years, certified & tested by WQA, a product by a lot lot more trusted/ reputable/ old brands.

Don't be fool by Cosway Hexagon water... juz investigate their products and my findings are:-
i) NSF, WQA and alot of logo being published in 1 page (bottom) of their website http://www.ecosway.com/ecosway/SuperSelect.../hexagon_06.jsp & the logo images look blur. is that copy & paste from some where?
ii) The funny thing that i found is the whole catalogue/ product description nvr mentioned about the CERTIFICATION status, Why? are they so humble or what? i believe it's not cheap and easy to get all this body to certify their product.
iii) The worst thing is i found out that NSF denied their claimed read this
http://www.nsf.org/regulatory/newsroom/cea.asp
Anyway i cant say that this water system is not work at all but without all the proved of the efficiency why dun we buy a tesco/jusco type DIY filter. but Hexagon water is comparatively cheap as compare to others like diamond, nesh, etc. which i think they all are using a similar filtration system- Ceramic-Carbon-KDF.
