Actually what this both capable to filter doesn't matter as long they both meet the minimum requirements of NSF lab test standard.

I would pick the 3m one since long term usage costs cheaper than culligan which have been discussed here long time ago. Try search this thread. Culligan is more to those who have tight initial budget.

hmmm... then should consider Espring... when the TV come can you please come announce in here... thumbup.gif  thumbup.gif

Well, if you want to get one, you still have to approach one of their Agents/Distributors/Introducer/Upline (whatever like to call) to buy, although we know GST implemented in Malaysia, but my memory serve me correctly, one unit eSpring can instant get 6% cash back based on their marketing plan. Next month first day can straight away walk in into your nearest Amway shop to buy, but don't forget to bring along your introducer, the rest procedure leave to them to tell you la.

I dunno if its world no.1 or not, but with NSF 42, 53 and 55 (UV)..i dunno what is NSF 401.. its very complete package in the sense it covers almost everything. Previously there was a Philips water filter that had 42, 53 and 55 as well.. and it was half the price of the eSpring, but it is no longer sold here... of course it would be better choice over eSpring due to the price.

I am not aware of any other water filters locally that is certified NSF 42, 53 and 55.

RO water is not suitable for human consumption as proven by WHO.

Bro..Amway is MLM.. you ask...sure many fanboys and downline come support their product 9 9 lor. But if that's the kinda budget you wanna spend...better buy eSpring than Diamond lah..Diamond can throw longkang.

As for Coway, don't bother, most of it no NSF. Some don't even have specification.
*
Doesn't need to be MLM to be support one, go check our forum Apple section or Droid section, got many fans to support their brand too. whistling.gif Worst case, /k flame war debate always start. doh.gif

Meanwhile, Coway does have NSF, is the NSF 58 RO certified. whistling.gif Really don't support Diamond brand, is the worst brands ever, not only cheating customers with fake filter or overpricing (reseller problem and many years ago story) somemore cheat their reseller commission somemore.. Talk here in forum can already.

LOL  laugh.gif

btw, thanks dude for your opinion , then maybe i will go for espring then

Bro, it is based on unit. It will not carry any meaning if it is based on revenue. There are filter costing 7k, 10k, 16k. VWA, Electrolux, Kangen....
That one is a fake, beware. Ppl knew it is good, and make an imitation product.
NSF certificate cannot be bought, if it can bought, Philips, Panasonic, Pensonic, Cosway.....will be on the list, which they are not currently certified.

Philips were certified once, but not meeting the standard in later batches of the production...
*
How much I wish there were alternative and much more budget to eSpring with UV NSF 55. Too bad Philips discontinued the model already.

QUOTE(supersound @ May 27 2015, 08:53 AM)
Not really, to get the certificate to renew, they need to pay. If they refuse to pay, no certificate will be released. Same as ISO standard certifications, you can get every certificate by paying and follow some standards.
Even Secret Recipe got their Halal certification revoked.
*
Well, certificate can't buy but the stickers can buy one. A lot of people doesn't aware of those water purifier are stickers stick on top on it instead direct printed on it. Any OEM water purifier reseller here, I can offer printing service for you as well, bulk order can nego too. lol. brows.gif

Please use following format if you have a good indoor filter for comparison.

Brand: Culligan
Model: IC-EZ-1
Make: USA
Capacity: 3000 gallons or change yearly
Standard: NSF42
Cost: RM66
*
Maybe we should compile all NSF certified water filter here with initial fee and replacement fee in one whole table form list, so that in the future anyone visit this thread can pick whatever based on their budget/need. icon_idea.gif

I'm in the same boat as you. AP902 you have to change cartridge every year or sooner according to the PDF. The cartridge is RM5xx.
http://multimedia.3m.com/mws/media/517695O...ouse-system.pdf
I'm looking for RM5xx multi layer sand filter, or the Diamond master filter.

Somehow, I'm not so much convinced by filter are able to filter Bacteria/Viruses/Cysts etc other than Ultraviolet or Heat.

any bad effects from alkaline water?

Why need Alkaline water when you can have PH Balance water? Alkaline water is for medicine purpose only in Japan. Healthy people like you doesn't need it.

Hi guys,

I just got Coway 2 months ago and 1st maintenance was done last week.
But the technician only do sanitation instead of changing any supposed filters.

Is that normal practice if the filters are not very dirty?
Btw isnt this discussion thread? Why i see so many sellers pm here pm there?
*
Yeah.. if you are renting, usually service is between 2months for 5 years (the last 3 years iinm is 3months/once) if out -right purchase then is first year free, the second year onward have to pay annually premium fee but 3months/once. Not sure the practice gonna work, since after they checked it if no problem then mean no change.
