the GE is worth the price, you pay 5x less than 3M
*
Saw the GE, also NSF 42 & 53, same with Culligan EZ-4. Just wondering whats the difference between the 2 since both meet NSF ratings.

BTW GE I read that the spin on/off plastic holder for the filter is prone to breaking off, be careful when changing filters.

I think GE is similar to Culligan EZ-4, no official stockist/dealer support for replacement cartridge. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Is there something wrong with the ez-4? GE also not common here. Same like EZ-4.

Thanks for sharing. Only 0.5 micron and 0.2 micron? Hmm. My existing Panasonic PJ-37MRF does down to 0.1 micron...sadly Panasonic never sent for NSF or WQA testing..

I'm looking for something below RM1000... and to drink straight without boiling.

Even RO (Reserve Osmosis) can go as low as 0.0001 microns. So micron is not everything to judge on the filter during purchase. You have to look for the warranty support after sales, long-terms maintenance, future spareparts replacements, certifications, no bullshyting marketing gimmicks can cure disease, etc more...

Your Penasonic doesn't have sent for NSF/WQA testing is because they could be taken from OEM and rebrand on it.

Nothing wrong with both Culligan or GE. Because as far as previous forumers found that locally don't have GE distributors. You have to rely on others to import for you.

Suggest that using the basic carbon filter and boil it once.
This is what I'm doing now.
Water can't be too clean as the health impact are greater than you drink not so clean water.

Bought 3M Water Filter AP DWS1000 from Xam Max lately for RM1499 during their promotion.

Installation is easy as I just have to remove my old filter (diamond used for many years) and plug in the new filter. Basically just put on the cartridge and plug in the hose.

Did not make any drill in my under-sink cabinet to hang it as I don't want any holes there. So I just put it standing like the picture below.

so far so good using it =)

Amway company advised and purposely labeled on the power plug to leave the plug on for 24 hours/ day for 366 days.

It is very safe as compared to other electrical appliances.

My family has been using Espring for 5 years and I have many customers who used 2nd generation Amway filter for more than 10 years. So far I have not encounter any of my customer's Espring kena lighting strike yet. If it really happen, Amway company will replace 1 to 1 during the 2 years warranty period.

Hi Ck2chan,

No worries on this, if really kena lightning, it will fry the DC adapter, DC adapter has 1 year warranty instead of 2 years on the whole espring body.

Even after the warranty is lapsed, the DC adapter is a lot cheaper to replace. Espring (3rd Generation) is a lot stable than Generation 2, I had sold over 100 espring and never had 1 with electronic problem, compare to 2 units from Gen 2.

So you can be rest assured it is really a solid product smile.gif

5000 liters or 1 years whichever come first. Why 1 year? because the chemical compounds are "stuck" inside the cartridges micro pores, prolonged usage are not recommended to avoid unwanted chemical reactions between the chemical compounds. In short, for hygienic reason, please change after 1 year smile.gif

I'm still confuse about ionizer and normal filter.

Have summarize few model, Panasonic Ionizer & 3M. Both under budget 2k.
Just one with ionizer, but filtration so so, and another unit without ionizer but have good filtration system.
Which to to opt for.
