Front loaders save water, you don't need to fill the tub to wash. I think it saves electricity too.

Well if it lowers your water bill, it's cheaper smile.gif it might save electricity as well, I think they should require less power to operate since gravity might do half the work already. I'm no engineer, but I suppose if you build some sort of motor to just pull it half way up, inertia and gravity would do the rest of the work.
