Hi. I wanna ask the experts here about my washing machine. Am using a Electrolux EWF 85761 front loading type.

1. Is it liquid detergent alright to use? Tried dynamo and I still see suds. Should I switch to powder? Any recommendations?

2. During spinning it emits a quite a high pitch sound. Is this normal?

Thanks for any helps.

1. Mostly liquid will produce more bubbles. When you buy ur washing machine detergent or powder look for the front load logo.

2. Yes, like aeroplane, so don't put near to ur room.

1. Suds is normal. What needs to be avoided is too much of it. Kao Attack liquid was a favourite of mine. I have not tried anything else besides Cosway and now Meleleuca as recommended by friends.

Speaking of Melaleuca, do they now have HE laundry detergent for front loaders? A couple of years back they have not brought it in yet.

I use Persil liquid, does not foam much. Dynamo does not have front load specific liquid detergent, hence it foams quite a bit. Try to avoid it. Cosway works well too.

Thanks guys.

The Dynamo I buy (white bottle) has the front load logo. Unfortunately when I did the first run clean (as per advised) without clothes it became so sudsy it flow out of the dispenser and also the main door doh.gif The amount I put in was half a cup (as per mentioned in the manual) and at 90 degrees cotton.

Will consider Persil, Kao or Cosway next time once I finish up my dynamo. Never had this issue when I use a top loading machine unsure.gif

seriously guys, is front loader really more convenient to use? the wash cycle is a lot longer than top load? what the best thing u like about a front loader? Basically I google on the pro n cons as well de...jus wan to hear what the real experienced owners hav to say here..

Personally I prefer top loader. But I no choice because staying in Condo and I needed a dryer as well. I will take pic and share.

However I heard front loader has better spread of washing detergent so not sure whether that true.

Buy electrolux one surely no regret.
Used 6.5KG front load time machine old version since 3.5 years ago.
Now still working well like first day.
But when free time need to clean the drainage area some dust might stuck there, but easy to clean.
Use less water, hot water enabled, and clothes is more clean because the way front load spin.
My wife & I use top load before but very satisfied with front load.

I feel good hearing this since i first time washer and chose electrolux at the behest of my relatives even though its slightly pricier. Using 7 kg load one now.

Hi,

I'm looking for a simple FL washing machine with 7 - 7.5 KG capacity. I need one that's reliable for at least the next 5 years.

I'm considering Electrolux but there are mixed opinions here in this thread. Is there anyone here who owns an Electrolux FL washing machine (bought not more than 5 yrs ago), takes good care of the machine (periodic maintenance etc.) but is still having problems with it?
thanks for your input!

I own both FL washer and dryer of around that capacity from Electrolux. Bought 4 yrs ago. Recently both had breakdown and cost me rm 500 to fix both. The washing machine electronic motherboard was spoiled and had to be replaced and the battery for the dryer was also out.

Other than that the machines work perfectly fine so far for me. FYI I don't perform any maintenance (single guy leaving alone) other than fixing that issue recently.

Why is there a battery in the dryer?

4yrs is rather a short life. How much your brought both machine?
*
Don't get me wrong machine works fine. Even now.

I bought both should be around 6-7k if not mistaken

It looks like a battery capacitor kind of thing.

Repair cost will add up your return cost.

Break down earlier and high cost of spare part is not a good machine to us.

Fair enough. But I've read enough response to see that even other brands can face the same issue. Shit happens and maybe I don't do enough maintenance or whatsoever. Not advocating Electrolux (I'm not brand loyal on stuff like this) but to me currently my washer /dryer is just ok. My mum had an old hitachi that lasted 15 yrs without issues while my aunt who had the same one had some repairs a few times in 10 yrs so go figure lol

Electrolux is a good brand. But that is my parent time.

It depend on your usage. High usage like everyday use. Wrong usage like overload the machine, bad levelling, maintenance etc.

Always find out the cause of the problem in detail. That will help you to gain knowledge in prevention, buying next WM and advise to people who ask you.

All the brand have some sort of issue. That depend on their design and QC. A ratio of qty/bad. 100/1, 1000/1 or 100000/1.

Well my ex gf decided on this and I'm no expert. I also complained to her and said lol 'see ur grandfathers brand what happened'. Anyway I dont really spend too much time on appliance and am contented so far. Could have make the better choice I guess but rather spend more time on doing other stuff 😊😊

Maybe mold build up inside. I read need to keep the door open for a while after each wash to avoid this. Some expensive one have self cleaning feature

HOW to check for mold? I always left door open. Maybe outside smell creep in?
