Coz currently I’m considering the following 2 models:

1) LG FV-1409S4W 9kg

2) Toshiba TW-BK105GF4M 9.5kg

*
I just bought the LG FV-1409S4W. Delivered today actually. Previous one was also an LG, a WF-TS888TC top loader which was with us for 17 years. Fixed once (water inlet valve) in 2016. Though it’s still working, the spin was getting really weak. Instead of repairing, just thought to get a new one.

Also looked at Electrolux and Bosch.

Which did you get in the end?

i haven't bought it yet, will buy early next month

have you used it so far? how's the performance?

also how much did you paid for it?

thanks
*
Already used 6 times so far. LG ThinQ app keeps track of it. Performance OK, I guess. Clothes are clean. Cleaner than top loader? Honestly, I dunno. My wife says it is. Myself, not used to seeing so little water in the tub. Seems much quieter than my old LG but trying to think back what that sounded like when it was new 17 yrs ago, a bit susah.

Bought from HomePro, RM2199 less 5% = RM2089.05. This includes delivery and installation. Missed TNG eWallet RM100 by one day. Promo ended on 4/6. :-(

Most probably I will go with LG. I also thinking to get the dryer as well. But not sure they can run it together from the same 13A breaker or not.
*
Not sure about this. Manual only states standby power consumption. Have never considered dryer since we live in terrace house with space for clothes hanger. The only time we took laundry out to the shop for drying was during that crazy rainy season a couple years ago when it was non-stop raining for many days.

A few other notes:
- HomePro installer is just 3rd party lorry delivery. They hooked up the water-in hose and water outlet hose. Did not level the machine properly, just agar-agak. Adjusted but did not lock the feet in place. I asked about leveling it and they did say Yes but no big deal. I didn't say anything else and just did it myself later. I noticed that the machine was not leveled well when the drum was spinning down. At certain frequencies, the whole thing will vibrate.
- The installers also took away my old LG for free. I think they were hinting at money for that but, initially, I told them to just bring it outside for the Majlis to come collect it (Selangor will collect bulky items for free.) They probably saw that I had laundry outside so I guess they believed me when I said the old machine is still working.
- Got 2.4Ghz WPA2 wifi and LG ThinQ app. Most useful features are:
- notification when laundry is done.
- keeps track of how many wash cycles and reminder for tub clean after 30 washes.
- Can also download one custom cycle. Default is "Rinse and Spin."

Youtube got a few videos. Not quite the exact model but close enough.

Been using it for 2months + too
So far so good except it wont fit my queen size comforter lol

What detergent are using?
*
Biggest thing we have is king size mattress protector. Lucky not very thick so can fit.

Still using the previous top loader liquid detergent. Forgot the brand but not one of those expensive ones. Later update.

I heard powder is better? What brand liquid or powder are you using?

I took a look at LG's front load machine, Their 8.5kg, 9kg, and 10.5kg, physically they look kinda same size? The drum size looks the same to me.
*
The 8.5 one is a bit smaller. Not so deep if that's the correct word. Width and height same. Maybe motor weaker since max spin is 1200rpm vs 1400rpm on the 9kg. No idea about drum sizes or the 10.5kg one.

using dynamo for top load but  it produce extra suds even when i put lesser and lesser detergent each time
*
The liquid detergent that I'm using at the moment is Sibee. Looks like NSK in-house brand. Wife bought it, I guess must be cheap. Before this, we used Top and Smart Daia.

Bro, which model exactly you bought, because from the link you provided and the two models discussed, none of them is LG 9.5KG Top load
*
My bad. I bought the LG FV-1409S4W. 9KG not 9.5KG.

Now got RM100 TnG rebate: https://www.lg.com/my/promotions/65-anniversary-treats-2023

I don’t recommend front loading washing machine because the tub and the rubber ring can get very moldy even though you leave the door open after every wash or wipe dry.  There is no way you can wipe inside, beneath the tub. And the rubber, just pull and see under it’s all black.

Yes, mold is always a problem. How long did it take for yours to become that moldy?

Anyone here using LG washing machine with the ThinQ app?

Just want to check something.... do you guys face issue where the Energy Monitoring and Cycles Used page is not recording the correct amount of cycles? On the other hand the Tub Clean Coach part is showing number of cycles correctly
*
Yes, I think it's a bit off but I didn't really double check. Maybe look at it closer starting today.
