For reliability, Electrolux front load washing machine by far the most reliable.

The brand is good but doesn't mean it's most reliable laugh.gif

Well, I have one that has been doing great for more than 10 years.
Another one at another house also more than 15 years and still running today.

Before this, my grandparents using LG and it couldn't last 8 years.

My electrolux front load washing machine is starting to give symptoms of the drum not spinning...i suspect it's carbon brush wearing out already.
I have this washing machine for 9 years and every day using it to wash clothes.
Can I call Electrolux technician to come replace the carbon brush as the warranty is 10 years for the motor, since the carbon brushes are in the motor?

Call first, pay or not later decide.

Yesterday called already, they said haven't do anything, they will charge RM80. After check and see what need to change, then will charge the labour only if really motor parts need to replace.

Then just now I just changed the carbon brushes myself in the morning and now my washing machine is working fine again.
Only RM30 for the job.

I already clean the filter but never thought of unscrew spinning wheel and clean out. Will try. Thanks.

I used to have this issue as well. Just use high pressure water jet spray the drum and no more already.
Also after spray, apply vinegar + baking soda and + bleach and soak it with high temp and rinse it after that.

Good luck.

Today I just encounter my washing machine water inlet valve is malfunctioning. so I pry open up and spray some electrical contact cleaner to the contacts and it's back to life! Don't have to spend a bit on replacing the water inlet valve or call a technician in to check!

Just one can of MR DIY Contact Cleaner does the job!

I recently bought LG 9kg front loading washing machine.
It has AIDD technology.

To be honest, any brand will do. Cuz the most common part failure is the drum spyder shaft. This component will fail first way before your motor or bearings fail. So that's why when some of you are saying when washing, it gives out loud tumbling noise, cuz one of the leg is broken or all of them are broken. To replace that spyder shaft, it is an overhaul process.
