ok, so overall, which one saves more in terms of water usage and electricity consumption? front load or top load?

QUOTE(BeeB88 @ Jan 9 2014, 04:40 PM) Guys, any guidelines to decide on the size of front loader, i.e 7kg, 8kg, 10 kg or 13kg? just take 10kg, should be just nice.I'm looking for 4 people usage with alternate weekend washing for items like bedsheet / curtains, etc. 7kg might be too small for bedsheet or comforter. |

QUOTE(g88 @ Jul 22 2014, 04:56 PM) 10kg will cost you around RM3200 or 3600. Beyond that price should be a fully import model. I just got a 9kg washer 2 weeks back, priced at Rm2400 after discount. RRP was Rm31xx and during fair discount was Rm26xx but as i am getting others appliance...further discount is given. how is the performance?Btw, mine was front loading washer |

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 2 2014, 11:51 AM) Yup, you are right on this. Comparing my Hitachi 10KG top loader that worked for 8 years with repair cost need rm300(bought rm1000), each month using 30 units(30*0.218 = rm6.54 of electric) and water about 5m3, that's rm2.50 of water bill. so the best is top loader + japanese brand? rm1300+rm627.84+rm240=rm2167.84 for 8 years. A 10KG front loader 8 years back need about rm3000-4000, not yet calculate utilities bill cost. The math tells me that a top loader total cost are cheaper |

QUOTE(supersound @ Oct 14 2014, 09:17 AM) Panasonic all the parts are made in China. Reliability is a question. Try Hitachi, but choose the model with basic functions, with inverter motor but not "econavi". Unless you are prepared to change the circuit board every now and then. |
