Currently surveying for Washing Machine... Confuse on what/which to buy..

Does anyone has any rough idea on how the Energy Consumption Star Rating is given?
I mean... I saw 2 washine machine comparison...

Haier 10kg WM, 4 Stars, 29.2kwh yearly
Sharp 12kg WM, 3 Stars, 69.35 kwh yearly

How accurate is this measurement..
Does that mean the Haier one is much energy saving compared to the Sharp one (estimating both handles the same amount of loads)
Or is it because the Haier one uses DD Inverter motor and the Sharp doesn't?

Thanks.

I'm surveying the Haier brand and want to ask if anyone here uses them.
But seems like no one mentioned the brand for the past 2-3 years.
Probably gonna survey other brands first...

I just bought a 14 kg Toshiba TL washing machine.
Don't judge me as I'm switching to fully auto WM after 13-14 years with a semi-auto (manual?) WM.
For some reason, I'm not really convince on the washing capabilty of the machine.
I mean, I used to the continous rotation of a propeller in a manual WM.

But for this Auto Machine, the propeller only turns like, 1/3 spin forward and backward, switching to fast and slow at times.
Is this normal?

Just now I tried to wash a pair of jeans, and towel.
I remember the water would be quit muddy with my previous WM, but it's quite clear with the current one.
The detergent also not bubbling much...

Looking at ads on those machine where the propeller continously rotating, makes me imagine the same thing with my WM.

Toshiba Washing machine.. should be OK, right?

Bought Toshiba AW-DG1500W, like 2 years ago.
Hitting the first year, the water sensor broke. The sensor won't detect water level when filling in (choosing 3-4th level causes non-stop water filling).
A technician came (took almost 4 weeks for parts, and covid), so everything's fine after that.

Now another year past, start having problem again.
First, i got EL error (which i guess something's wrong with the PCB and inlet sensor), coupled with E23 (door lock).
Technician came, and replace the board.
Days later, now it throws E-23, E-79 and E-63.
Technician came again, replacing the door lock.
He did test a bit after that.. *seems* like OK.

But few days after that, same thing happens.
He came this time, open up the back panel and check stuff...
He said nothing's wrong.

Just now start washing. Got same error plus an E-64.
Possibly he's gonna take the machine out.
