For WM definitely will get FL ...for the reason they
1)Save half of the water compared to TL which waste a lot of water.(imagine that much water just flow into the drain) 2)Much quiet when washing and spinning (high end model) 3)Last longer 4)Save space 5)Better design Been using the top brand for FL which is electrolux for decades |

QUOTE(supersound @ Dec 27 2014, 04:19 PM) Nope, because house use FL are proven on fail to clean. My wife's confinement center also the same, the laundry just have smell. There are various reason why your laundry smells...1) Door kept closed once laundry is done. This can cause mold to grow due to moisture. 2) Excessive detergent used or use high suds detergent. 3) Overload. 4) No monthly empty cycle to clean the machine. |

QUOTE(supersound @ Dec 28 2014, 06:01 PM) Indeed so, but : Mind sharing what brand is it and the age of the WM?1. door kept opened after each wash 2. low suds used, as the smell is from sweat 3. if a 10KG WM only put about 7KG considered as overload, that's mean FL WM are boasting on the load 4. because of high usage, it is done every 2 weeks |

QUOTE(kimsim @ Dec 29 2014, 07:42 AM) I hope I drive godcar, but these given me drove a BMW turbo. oic...i though you using FL...how come using TL Top load can save water? Can see my photo before more or less cloths but the water level up to 70% of drum, not sure how many litre. For example washing longer like FL but used less water & energy then which one you said so hai? TL selling cheaper and less feature for who affordable user like entry level. Used more water & also used much energy for rotation the motor too, why heavy load from the top & more water to carry that and still needed to turning = used more waste energy. Like FL used less energy and less water able to do the job well, from you choosing and pay slightly higher then every months save more utilities fee for worth it. If you stay in s'pore water selling higher than electricity than what you shall go with? Definitely Front load lah, what else why waste so much water like TL as shown in the photo. 11kg TL before inlet water. ![]() Also daily wash for 1 hour ![]() Water level really up to 70% of overall drum. ![]() ![]() Meant if you guys can go for green = save earth. |

QUOTE(hkindaichi @ Dec 30 2014, 10:46 AM) hello sifu here, This must depends on your house space and budget. If you have space and budget then get a FL washer and a dryer separated. So if something went wrong in your machine at least the other unit is still function and not affected. I would like to consider buy new dryer as this raining season would be dragging months and I just got a son last month. Want some suggestion from sifu here which is more reliable, combo WM or WM and dryer different unit. For info, my WM also got problem, which cannot hold water after spin, need to manually trigger under the WM. Any suggestion? One more is normally a FL washer who washes 10kg of cloth can only dry 7kg of cloth which means you must remove certain amount of cloth before continuing your drying cycle or make sure you only washes 7kg of you want your program to run continuously. If you overload your dryer, it takes very long time to dry all the cloth and not very energy efficient. Alternatively, you may get a washer and a dryer and stack them using a stacking kit. When buying dryer, make sure they have heat pump technology which saves 50% of electricity amount compared to conventional ones. Btw, now there's offer of purchase-with-purchase where you buy a washer and pwp a dryer with up to 1k discounted. Cheers! This post has been edited by YJYYEE: Dec 31 2014, 12:11 PM |

QUOTE(Galaxy Angel @ Feb 6 2015, 04:30 PM) Just bought Electrolux 9kgs font load washing machine, EFW-10932, I knew Electrolux don't have a function call auto clean for outer tub, for periodic maintenance, how can we do to clean the outer tub? For FL, it is recommended to do a maintenance wash once a month for heavy user or once every 2 month...use the highest temperature available with cotton program...add in some baking soda if you have...alternately you may purchase washing machine cleaner from ace hardware or grocery store like jaya grocer....and do remember to wipe the rubber of the door with cloth and clean the drain pump filter located right bottom corner of your machine's front panel...also wash your detergent drawer periodically to avoid buildup of soap powder...lastly...leave machine door open after each wash and you shall have a odourless and clean machine How long should we carry out this maintenance after use? Is it using 90C temperature without any load? |

QUOTE(Valerie_tan @ Feb 10 2015, 05:43 PM) wanna get a 2 in 1 washer dryer washing machine with front load, any recommedation? 2 adult and 2 kids in the house. how many kgs should i choose? and where can i get a good deal?tq all sifus You can consider Electrolux. They are the market leader for front load machines. Kimchi or sushi brand are more specialised in top load...not as good as European technology |

QUOTE(Galaxy Angel @ Feb 11 2015, 04:34 PM) 1.5 hours for font load consider good already. What program you use? As for mine, cotton program for all cloth washing and without hot water setting...spin speed 800rpm...1.5 hour to complete...for hot water program will take longer time to complete. Also a Electrolux machine age almost 3 yr without any issue. Sometimes I doubt whether a top load cleans as clean as a front load because some of them only use 40 min to complete. EWF10932 also have the time manager function where you can preset the time for each cycle if i am not mistaken.Any other Electrolux user can share their comment? How how to complete the washing cycle? *Washing time varies between users due to the different water pressure we have and water temperature from the mains/storage if hot water setting is used. QUOTE(Galaxy Angel @ Feb 12 2015, 12:14 AM) Thanks bro for the info, now I got your point, we will need to adjust the time manager to reduce the level, else if follow the default time, will be 2.5 hours or even longer. Yea... Time manager's advantage... Adjust time based on how heavily soiled is your cloth... Normal office wear won't go very dirty because work whole day under air-conditioned...After adjust the time manager, able to complete within 1.5 hours. |

QUOTE(rae0724 @ Feb 17 2015, 08:34 AM) do research.. that 2 in 1 is easy to rosak? or over electric consume? 2-in-1 have more electrical components so the chances to malfunction is higher than stand alone ones...you can alternatively buy both and stack them up using a stacking kit, where the dryer sits above the washer...but i m a bit prefer the 2 in 1.. coz limited space or i shud really separate the 2, one dryer, one washing? plan to buy Electrolux budget: cheaper better as i gt limited budget >< but valueble... any recommendation for me? |
