AI is just a marketing word, actually its just a preprogrammed setting in the WM which will determine the washing pattern depending on the load of your clothes using sensors, some like LG claims they can detect the fabric type as well but I not sure how they do it, maybe with sensors as well

Wifi connection to me is not really gimmick as I found a few good use cases for myself. The best function is remote start. For example I am going out, I can load the clothes first and put the WM into standby mode. Then I can start the WM from the app about 1hr before i return so by the time I'm home the clothes are ready for me to dry

What LG WM model did you have just wondering?

What type of detergent are you using liquid or powder for remote start or pre-wash? My 20kg LG Slim F2520SNEK WM does not come come with the liquid detergent holding cup so the manual warms against using liquid detergent for Delay start and pre-wash because it could either dispensed early or get harden.

AI Wash cycle and Turbowash 39 cycle is basically a scam for my WM because both cycles maximum rated load by LG for my WM is only 3kg. For Turbowash 39 cycle specifically washing more than 3KG of clothes increase the cycle estimated time to 61minutes. That make nonsense when you bought large WM to wash a lot of clothing.

I use liquid detergent from Persil. So far no issues but I seldom use remote start

AI Wash cycle should be applicable to the usual cotton cycle, which is your washing machine max capacity. It's normal for washing machines to have different load rating for different modes/cycles, not just LG

I'm not sure, my LG manual rated the AI Wash cycle for 3KG load also what's the different with it and normal Cotton cycle? I thought Cotton cycle already uses AI DD?

Also it seems that there is no option to enable steam on the WM individual cycles

In that case I'm not sure. This cycle doesn't exist on my machine. (FV1410H3P)

There should be a programme table in your owners manual listing what other functions can be added to each cycle. For my case I only need to hold the steam button to add steam for the cycles.

There is no mention of steam in the user manual and no option to even enable it on individual cycle on ThinQ app, which confused me because LG advertises the WM as Steam Capable. It seems newer LG slim WM drops the ability to enable steam as add on options, it only allows you to use steam on their so called steam cycle. the issues is LG does not clarify which cycle is using steam besides the Allergy care and Baby Steam cycle.
