Never experience before but that's what I was told by the salesperson la. You should use this piece of info (your comfortable weight) to ask the salesperson when you go survey for price. See what will they say and update us  tongue.gif Wondering how they actually judge how many kgs washing machine suitable to wash king or queen comforter.
*
Hi all , just to share a new info with everyone... Given by the salesperson......

For Front Loader - 5.5-6.0 Kg can still wash queen size comforter.. ( Provided the Not too thick one )
For Front Loader - 7 Kg above can wash King size comforter.. ( again , Provided the Not too thick one ) , if thick one .. He says not advisable.... will spoil the Motor......

For Top Loader 7.5 to 10.0kg can wash queen size comforter , 11 kg above can wash King size comforter...

But its is a very Subjective , as in it is also depends on How thick our comforter is hmm.gif , Definanetly I think the Bigger Kg will be Better la of cos...... anyhow , this is just a guideline from the salesperson... Dunno how true it is... biggrin.gif

Anyone got a Better Guideline or Has been using or Experience before ??...

Any Liquid Detergent is better since it will desolve easier.

I have Electrolux EW962F(5KG),then Toshiba AW-1050SM(9KG).

Electrolux: Best care for your clothes,my 5years old everyday wear pants looks good.
Use less water than top loader.
The bad:
Electric Magnatize door lock is safe but the machanism(push button located far from door) of mine spoiled after 5years of rude use by maid, machanism of programme selection dial spoiled by her also, darn!
Must use low sud powder,if not she would 'vomit' white suds.
Not big enough for my 5members family.

Toshiba: Big load, fast, able to wash bed blanket.
The Bad:
Damage my cotton clothes, change my t-shirt size, actually it change everything when 'heavy wash' selected, even the thick bath tower.
Lint filter don't work if under 24Liter(2nd level of water)because the water not immerse to the filter where it located.
Circuit board spoiled under warranty(month-9),lucky me.
Wash programme not so effective, especially black color clothes and jeans still have uneasy smell on them. Set longer then machine hurt the clothes. rclxub.gif

And now I understand front loader is the best machine, and I miss her alot! I don't mind to waste 40mins or more to complete wash cycles,I know she is protecting my clothes.

I just bought Toshiba Aw-sd150sm Toshiba product page 14.kg top loader. Rm1650 from U&ME electrical shop in Bandar Baru Ampang.

Previously used National semi auto for almost 15 years and still working. Now, I use it as secondary washing machine.

One thing that i still dont understand about this machine ( toshiba ) is on the actual time it takes to complete the process.
After it weighs all the clothes, it gives suggested time based on mode ( regular, delicate etc) that you had selected ( e.g 85 minutes ). After washing and rinsing, it goes to spinning. This is where I got the problem. It seems that it will spin forever and forever. First it indicates 30 minutes, then after few minutes it stops and the time indicator shows 48 minutes, so it spins again. after few minutes, it repeats the same thing. And during this time, water keeps going into the basket. So, the clothes got wet again. What I did, I cut the water supply and stop the spinning process after few minutes by pressing the off button.

But the clothes is still not as dry as if I use my national semi automatic. I just dont have time yet to experiment on the superdry function.

Any comment ?

Also, I hear front loaders are supposedly better than top loaders *shrugs*

Front loader - heavier ; hard to move it
save water ; no need to fill the whole thing
better; no need to iron so much ; not much wrinkle compare top loading

I m planing to buy a combo or separate washing machine and dryer. But so far I don't see any dryer in all the major brand in malaysia website. Strange. So I presume that no electrical shop here selling dryer.
Leave me no choice but to look for combo type. Only LG have this model. Any others brand model have this combo?
My main is it must save electric and water consumption.

I am using LG for nearly 10 years now, still running ok. Electrolux is overpriced when I last checked. Not sure what other new brands there are right now.

Just got that model.
What I don't like is the dryer.
Be careful with white cloths as the heat is actually quite hot and white color shirts becomes like fatigue after the dry, looks old.
The temperature I use is normal one. i.e. set to "Cupboard".
Also, using dryer might make the cloths wrinkle because of the heat. The machine got dryer set up for "Iron". Have yet to test that function out yet as just got my washing machine on Sat.

Btw, if you happen to buy that, don't let it spin at RM1400. Too strong. Can control the spin from RPM1400, 1000, 800, 400.

I got it from Harvey Norman during their grand sales at RM3k+. Exact figure and model number will update once I got home from work.
