Samsung's AI does auto dispense the right amount of detergent but does LG have this?

LG's 6 pattern wash motion is more than other manufacturers?

Btw, I know I need to turn on the wifi button to enable remote function to control the washer dryer remotely but does it have like a timeout? I'm worried if after like 24 hours, it will auto turn off which is not what I want.

Samsung's AI is more advanced, LG AI is more on sensing fabric type only and adjust wash pattern to match fabric type.

Auto dosage machines are available on other brands as well, even Bosch has it. I think its called Auto-Dos

Samsung AI is intelligent in the sense can predict the cycle that you would use based on your lifestyle.

LG 6 motion is unique to LG only, so far on most machine I see only tumbling or filtration (2 pattern at most) and filtration is done at the start of the wash cycle (as in Panasonic, to mix the detergent) after that it goes into normal tumbling; whereas LG uses around 3 - 4 sequence of the 6 motion throughout wash and rinse cycle based on the load in the drum (my observation)

And no, Wi Fi connectivity allows you to get push notification from the machine when it has issues or to inform when cycle completed.

Remote On/Off now require additional step to be performed on the machine (due to issue at US, where parent started the machine and a kid got stuck inside the machine); so far I used remote on/off only once; as I had to guide my parents remotely to use the machine.

And if you pause a running machine on the app, you are unable to restart it via the app; this is a bummer really and you can't accidentally turn off the machine with app either, as the app will ask for confirmation before proceeding to switch off.

I don't quite understand when you mentioned about the Wifi connectivity. I thought WIFI is needed for remote control

Can either the LG or Samsung washer dryers allow different temperatures for drying? Some delicate micro fiber clothes should be dried in lower temperatures..

Dear all, can I have some feedback for the 2 machines above? I heard that Electrolux parts are quite expensive to replace, but is it reliable than Toshiba at the same price range?

Looking forward for any feedback and replies. Thanks!

Hi guys,

Need recommendation for TL size 12~16kg (FL cannot; got leg problem & elderly in house). Preferably with affordable & easy to find spareparts.

Currently using Hitachi 16kg inverter for 7 years oredi. Once in 2020 got F1 error (board spoilt), it costs me RM900 to fix it; with > 1 month of waiting for the sparepart. And just now it showed error F8. I dunno how much it'll cost me this time 😭

I'm planning to get an LG front load washing machine

been eyeing these two but I'm not sure what's the difference between them

can anyone elaborate on the differences between LG FV1450S2W and LG FV1450S4V?

The difference is the S2W got turbowash. The other features is almost similar, maybe got different modes like cotton, baby clothes like that.
So if you want the turbowash you buy S2W. If you don't mind no turbowash you can go for S4W. S2W is more less 200 higher than S4W price

Yup and the W vs V monicker is differentiating the colour.

V is dark grey brush steel colour and W is white colour.

I am using S4V without turbowash, its equally clean, in fact washes cleaner than our older Panasonic and quicker by 20 - 25 minutes too.

You are the one commenting on lg website I suppose? I like the grey colour but it is only for the washer and S2 do not have grey if not mistaken.
I bought S2 but even S2 have grey colour I had to pick white because the dryer is only in white, sad biggrin.gif

Yea I was pissed off that it didn't have turbo wash because I didn't read the specs properly and no display model available when I bought it.

The sales person showed the washer / dryer type which had turbo wash and I assumed it to be the same.

Mine I bought with the matching pedestal washer with pwp offer, initially my parents were using the pedestal washer but now its relegated to just a pedestal for the main washing machine.

Really weird. My Samsung 13kg/8kg washer dryer with AI always estimates 8hours + for AI wash+dry...regardless whether I have a few clothes or a full load...

My old standalone dryer can easily dry a full load in like 3 hours but when I try 3 hours with like half the load, it is still wet.

I guess the dryer function is really bad in a 2 in 1 sad.gif

Would like to ask, auto dispense detergent can only work with AI wash?? Or it can work with any mode?

Update: I tried the AI wash+dry which was estimated at 8 hours 26 minutes which in the end was only 5hours+ which isn't too bad actually..

Because I live in a spacious double-story home with plenty of drying area but no space for a washer and dryer in the kitchen hall room, I chose the top load Samsung WA-23A8377GV/FQ washing machine with a HE drum. I'm intrigued by its BubbleStorm technology because I previously owned a basic 11-year-old Samsung washing machine. The old one is still functional, but my family is betting bigger. This is my first expensive Samsung washing machine.

For top-loaders: Do you ever wash your blankets, beds, or mats? It's possible that you'll need to select one that can manage a heavy load. Typically, the drum must be larger and capable of withstanding wobbles and other vibrations. Front-loaders, on the other hand, will make heavy loads a breeze.
