I have a friend who commented on those 2in1 washer/dryer. She was mentioning that it isn't good. I think in the long run the machine will break down faster. I suggest that you get seperate ones - preferably European brand.

FYI, it says it has warm temp for washing - you have to actually install a boiler/hot water pipe to your washing machine, not that the machine will actually warm up the water for washing. But i might be wrong, it might be a new invention but this is what i know and how it works overseas. biggrin.gif

FYI, warm water might shrink some clothings, so beware.

I just have to comment on this. The first front loading washer my family bought in 1985 (its a Zanussi) also has built-in hot water setting. I stayed in several different rented apartments in the States and they all have such machines without piped hot water. All the machines were GE both old & new and some were top loading but with heating capability. So there you have it ... its not a new invention by any means.

I am trying to decide either on Panasonic of Toshiba. Please lend me your advice.

Anyone buy panasonic inverter technology? Please let me know is it noisy?

Comparing Panasonic inverter 13kg and Toshiba 13kg...

Panasonic inverter - Power consumption 165, Water consumption 180L
Toshiba inverter - Power consumption 360 (wash) 140 (spin), water consumption 234L

So shoul I opt for Panasonic? What do you think?

Since both are inverter then reliabililty, price and after sale service should be the deciding factor.

You are looking for better technology or consumption saving?

The figure you show, tell us that you looking for better saving. And the panasonic is the best.

Latest technology for motor is DD direct drive inverter motor which some brand carried 10yrs warranty.

My last time panasonic washing machine belt driven can last for more than 10ryrs and still working. So what wrong with belt driven.

Rm2200 + rm50 delivery Harvey Norman during one of their promtions. The one i bought is 8kg , 1200rpm max spin speed. There's the cheaper 7kg one but since I'm using it to wash the comforter, I chose the biggest one.

The rest of the front loading brands, electrolux, bosch is 600-700 ringgit more expensive than Panasonic for 8kg load and I don't think it's even inverter. I do think Panasonic is more value for money.

Initial impression is that is quieter than my previous top loader and my clothes come out less wrinkled and it has the ability to heat up the water for washing. Nothing to complain about at this moment.

I'm also using Panasonic NA-128VA2, but I haven't tried washing something as large as a comforter smile.gif

It's performing up to my expectations so far. It's certainly much quieter than the 8kg Electrolux front-loader that I've used before. It also vibrates less because the inverter motor allows it to reach its maximum spin speed on a more gradual basis.

Like all front-loaders, it tends to smell musty if you close the door immediately after a wash. I leave it half open to air it. Once in a while ( maybe every 2-3 months ) I will run it empty at highest temperature (90C) with some bleach to clean it. Front loaders have a tendency to grow mold if you rarely use hot water mode. If you are hardworking, it's also good to wipe dry the rubber seal after every wash.

If your washing machine have a comforter to select, than no problem to wash. Sometime call duvet or blanket.

You can buy a washing machine cleaner sachet. It come in packet powder form which can flush out dirt, slime etc. Wash every half yrs. Can get it from ACE.

To reduce the vibration, put a thick rubber each at the leg. Adjust the screw to let it sit evenly. Those blck/red rubber are for the chair or table metal leg 1. Can get it from DIY hardware or ACE.

Thanks for the info. I ask several saleman they told me that belt driven is noisier than direct driven and tendency of the belt might not last long. I also got feedback that Toshiba wash cloth less cleaner... not sure thought. So now looking at LG top loading WF-H140GS. Anyone have purchase this can give any feedback?

Thank you.

Why not consider Panasonic 8kg? Quite competitive pricing, I think around RM 2300-2500 now.
