Is obvious you don't know how good Top are. Did I say I hang them outside? Show me.
Anyway, applying heat on clothes during wet are a good idea, to send them to rubbish bin.

I am using Top too, seriously hanging clothes inside the house is not so recommended.

Yes, there are certain circumstances where a dryer is the only viable choice esp when space is cramp or raining.

Now dryers are no longer as expensive to operate esp when Electrolux (8 or 9kg with shoe drying rack) and Panasonic (8kg) released heat pump type condensing dryers that uses only 900W compared to the current 2700-2800W of condensing dryers. The Panasonic ones is coupled with an inverter.
*
I m using LG combo type. Dryer is condensing type. At that time, I cannot find Panasonic heat pump type as it still new. And not available locally. Condensing type 2nd best saving energy. Compare the conventional.

If possible, I think it is best to buy washing machine and dryer seperately unless your space is too tight to even fit it. Things that have multi function usually break down easily
*
It reliable now as my 1 combo type it already over 5yrs. Get back my investment too.

The down side is not able to run simulately. You only can finish wash than able to use dryer. sad.gif

When the situation are bad, is something needs to be done. Hanging inside is last resort.

Is up to how we want in our life. For me, I don't want to have rm10000 income but need to waste half of the time on traffic jams.
1. I stay in a small town, which having better air quality than those in big cities.
2. Old or not, is not labeled by you. Using fryer will resulting to paying more TNB bill. Think about environment, how much carbon are produced with 1KW of power generated. Don't keep on saying "I'm going green" but in actual fact using high power consumption equipment.
3. Groceries, laundries are done by me, not my wife.

Both have pros and cons lo... it is up to the consumers to decide. Some thinks the dryers is a must, some things it is a good options to have, during rainy days or in cramp apartments and some just think that is plain absurd of it in Malaysia... but anyway, if you think you need it, then buy it...

Many ways to cook a fish.

Hanging indoors is ok so long as it has good airflow. Not influenced by vagaries of weather - shall I wash now? Or later? Now...no..maybe later aiz...

Even in condo with balcony sometimes the rain do get blown in by the winds esp in the higher floors. When I lived there, I had to resort to using a shower rod and curtain and weigh down the hem so that even if it rains, the clothes stay dry. Not possible with all balconies.

The problem with drying in doors is to with excess moisture having no where to go esp if enclosed area. That's easily solved with extractor fan.

Some for Chinese, it very related to fengsui. Unless you have specified place for laundry cloth to hang. You don't want your g string and bra everywhere hanging in the house. blush.gif or hanging at balcony in front the living hall. Where you having a guest and looking at your beautifully panty. biggrin.gif

Even I have dryer, I hardly use. Not even a mth or 2. The sun is still my priority. And I do hang inside the toilet sometime. The best is using dryer to dry it further. Otherwise the bad smell will develope.

Monsoon season nov-dec is the most handy to have dryer. Even laundry shop will running max with their dryer with auntie bringing over their wet cloth.

Good thing about hanging in the sun is the UV ray kills bacteria. Clothes tend to smell fresher, for longer. However, the very same UV ray also shortens the life of your clothes.

I've seen indoor hangers with UV light attachment. Not sure how effective those are.

Very true. My old condo has a dedicated dry area of 100sqft. Wide enough to have a Hotata overhead dual pole drying rack.

My home minister for one prefers her undergarments washed in the bedroom toilet rather than in the washing machine. I'd been thinking on ro-doing the room toilets to cater for small items to hang.

Ikea 2012 in SG showcased a brilliant idea in dividing the toilet into specific zones and also had one with a washing machine ensuite. The Antonius overhead pulley drying rack (54x54cm) is then hung over the shower stall but the far end. It's mostly out of the way overhead. But that configuration has the toilet isolated in the corner out of the way. Normally won't do so unless the toilet is on its own.

I don't understand why home minister like to wash their undergarments in toilet. Same to my wife. Have many time pursuit to just dump into the WM. I even brought a net purse so her undergarment not easily spoil. Still prefer hand wash. rclxub.gif

I have partially convert 1 of the toilet for her laundry. Since that toilet not much using as toilet. Future will be convert fully to laundry room. For overhead hang, you can look for other than ikea. There are many others function better than ikea.

This 1 brought from parkson which I use to hang wet cloth in toilet. Slim and strong enough for max 30kg. Can even put any thing ontop as an accessory inside wardrobe.

Dare to say I don't know about women's situation but you don't know the reason behind. What a shame doh.gif
Next time I hope you don't simply jump in to a conclusion and pretend to know everything and simply put some stupid label on me. Or should I say you merely want to insult me just to show you are better than me. It only shows how stupid you are when you face problems doh.gif
Don't know about women's underwear, go to yahoo and type bra care.
