QUOTE(b00n @ Jun 1 2009, 11:50 AM)
Just got that model.
What I don't like is the dryer.
Be careful with white cloths as the heat is actually quite hot and white color shirts becomes like fatigue after the dry, looks old.
The temperature I use is normal one. i.e. set to "Cupboard".
Also, using dryer might make the cloths wrinkle because of the heat. The machine got dryer set up for "Iron". Have yet to test that function out yet as just got my washing machine on Sat.

Btw, if you happen to buy that, don't let it spin at RM1400. Too strong. Can control the spin from RPM1400, 1000, 800, 400.

I got it from Harvey Norman during their grand sales at RM3k+. Exact figure and model number will update once I got home from work.

Thanks b00n. Do you kmow what heating tech do this machine use for dryer side? If normal heater element, will consume electrical alot. But from the brochure it look like using steam tech. Which is the latest tech for dryer and save electric. thumbup.gif At the fatest spin, will it create alot of vibration? I m planing either buying 12kg or 14kg type.

With such a heavy machine, you better check it is using inverter. Buy the machine is cheap, but using it will cost more.

Just place order yesterday on my LG Model : WD-CD1212W
12kg/7kg Washer & Dryer. Same type with b00n but different capacity. After survey and research, I guess LG is the latest/better technology. Compare japan type selling here which is mostly basic. Cost me RM3k+ from jintex.
Check it out here LG Washing/Dryer

has anyone used a Zanussi washing machine before? i was searching on net for a small w/mashine and i think the Zanussi 1300W is the smallest i can find. not sure about the loading cap & honestly wont be too bothered cos wont be doing too much laundry...

will anyone know where to get or to find out the price?

or would anyone know of a small w/machine similar to the 1300W? the height is only bout 670mm...others all mainly 850mm in Height.

Yes, there is. Check it out at the nearest supermarkets & you'll find top or bottom loading type of powders.
There is a picture to indicate the difference.
But I don't see the difference.

My understanding seem to be that front-loader requires low-sud detergent which will minimise wear and tear of the mechanism.

Low sud mean less bubble.

You mean the washing machine or the detergent? For machine, normally won't cause wear & tear. It depend what mode you choose. I choose front loader cause more clean, save water and power kua. hmm.gif (You will wonder why all the comersial washing machine is front loader). The bad is longer time wash and you cannot open the door half way washing compare top type.

If front loading detergent cause more, than just find those low sud detergent. since the sud is the main problem.

i used front loaded and top loaded washing machine before, i will never use front loaded anymore because it takes long time to wash, using more water and energy, shorter life span, dryer was not good.

I am looking for new top loaded washing machine now, any good brand for recommendation? requirement: 7 kg, with pre-set timer, stainless steel tub

I see, that means front loading washing machine will cause more bubble. There is a difference indeed.
Perhaps I'll aim for the 45 degree Panasonic front loading washing machine.

I was currently thinking of buying my inlaws a steam washer/dryer, and was wondering how good is it? People always say its good, but is it really that efficient? Any one have on and can speak from experience? or knowledge?
