Thanx There's a water container in the fridge section. You take it out and fill it up with water. The water will be piped up into the freezer section to be made into ice cubes, and dispensed automatically into the container.Refer -> http://www.toshiba.com.my/product/product_...ctid=GR-RG68MDA Added on January 31, 2011, 9:10 pm QUOTE(dugarry @ Jan 24 2011, 02:01 AM) I am thinking of getting panasonic 601xs.. I don't have that many stuff to put inside yet, hence I cannot comment on how well it performs under load. My only complaint so far is that the freezer compartment does not have lights! I noticed the same about other Panasonic refrigerators. Very strange.I saw some members bought it at rm2700, appreciate if u can advise the place.. Thanks a million.. I use the 551XS, same as the 601XS, just one less shelf - totally love it, cold even though all settings are at minimum/energy saving mode. I think most refrigerators don't have lights in the freezer section, maybe for high end ones? |

I think most refrigerators don't have lights in the freezer section, maybe for high end ones? Sharps and Toshibas have freezer lights in most models.I put mine in mid temperature settings. I have thermometers inside the fridge to measure temperature, since the fridge doesn't have indicators. I keep my fridge section at about 3-4 C and my freezer section at about -18C. It's good to have thermometers so you know your fridge is working fine. I bought mine from Daiso. ADJ, how is your freezer drawer? I find mine doesn't glide out as smoothly these days. Maybe the wheels are frozen |

QUOTE(arthurlwf @ Jul 26 2008, 02:55 AM) Nowadays, there are so many brand to choose for refrigerator... Hi,e.g. LG, Panasonic, Hitachi, Electrolux, Samsung, Haier Which brand do you recommend? Preferably a durable and long lasting fridge... oh yeah, and also affordable... As i have got Samsung with water and ice in front, i'm very happy with this no problem at all. I bought my fridge from online and i recommend to everyone to buy anything from online website because that's cheaper than the shop. the site that I bought my fridge is www.alivetrading.com that was good and helpfull. Enjoy, |

I notice that all the nice, beautifully renovated kitchen comes with side by side fridge. I guess, it's a trend nowadays..

Hi everyone
Im contemplating between Hitachi RZ 560EM (435L) and RZ 490 EM (395L). Not much difference on the volume, the larger one is an extra rm300. My concern is more on the design. One is wider but shorter (the more expensive one) compared to the other, hence even tho it is wider, the distance between the 'rack' is lesser. Which design is better, thin and tall OR short and wide? HELPP!! |

Hi !
I will be moving into a new house soon too ( currently based in sabah). Looking for fridge too. ...I need recommendation. But before that below are my observation from here & outsider; 1. Electrolux - expensive 2. Panasonic - lots of bad review about the compressor being at the bottom of the fridge 3. Samsung - ok ok 4. Sharp - someone say can save 25% energy ? 5. Hitachi - someone too mention can save 15% energy ? 6. Toshiba - ok ok..only that it has a blue light..due to the plasma effect. Ive now narrow my selection down to Toshiba or Hitachi . Can anybody recommend me further to be from the both ? Below are the requirements (well..almost); 1. Price ( Below RM1800) 2. Size ( Enough for 2 pax and soon growing family..maybe 42-48L pehaps?) 3. Energy saving Help Help!!!! Added on March 13, 2011, 10:27 amryanna Im also on the same boat as u. Ive observe that some the distance between the rack is far . I kinda like that one too..I think it was the 49L or 48L..im not sure. If u have decided..let me know too ok. This post has been edited by Beverley: Mar 13 2011, 10:27 AM |

QUOTE(zees @ Mar 11 2011, 07:17 AM) anyone using Sharp Kagami? Jintex is selling that Sharp 'KAGAMI' Fridge [SJPT599GBK] model (470L) at MYR1788. You can check it out at the website (but need to register for free as a member) :http://www.sharp.com.my/product.php?ProductID=SJPT599GBK Just launch not long ago but I yet to find any shop selling. http://www.jintexelectronics.com/index.php...roducts_id=1236 I saw in Court's Mammoth selling this model SJPT491MBK (430L) at RM1749. I think both are pretty similiar models. The design is really sleek and very cool! Very tempted to buy it but don't know if Sharp is really good brand. Advice? |
