now im on a GAS for LP again.
i dont own any LPs anymore, sold off both my gibson and epi LPs. feel like getting one again, either a tobacco sunburst LP std or black LP custom and hetfield it with maltese cross and racing stripe |

the new LP standards arent really a ripoff cos now they got plek fretboards.
anyway, the LP standards have been chambered since 2007. the only way to get a non-chambered pre-2007 like LP without paying custom shop price is to get the LP traditional. its also more attractive to me cos it comes with '57 classics rather than burstbuckers. |

QUOTE(Pix @ Sep 30 2008, 01:54 PM) you mean, more P90's on the same guitar ? or more guitars w/ P90 ? more guitars with P90s i've 3 guitars now, and that's just about 2 too many according to my wife... i got a gibson SG classic...now sourcing for a gibson SG junior. there is also a epiphone LP double cutaway thats tempting. |

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Oct 2 2008, 12:37 AM) Ahhhh... sorry sorry. Too much cheap wine here (1.50 Euro for a bloddy good bottle of wine. Envying Pix right now!)..... the P-90 version i hope? But yeah, I'm still on the hunt for the now discontinued 24 fret Double Cutaway Gibson Les Paul. That's a totally sweet guitar for my collection. i think ppl here should be more exposed to the almighty P-90... then maybe we will see more P-90 guitars come in... |

technically, the first SG was a LP double cutaway (LP special) renamed to SG special in 1960
