QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 27 2008, 01:11 AM) to be honest not sure if the smart jet pro is an overkill. So far i only do SDs so perhaps i should get the smaller silver jet instead? it is a lot easier on the wallet i want a compressor which dose not look out of place sitting in my apartment which rules out most of the locally made ones. mr hobby ones look very very nice (from danny choo's pics) but although TM will bring them in for us at around MYR 1000 plus, they need a darn step down transformer and if rosak so i guess that leaves the iwata range - parts and service available locally and best of all it takes 220V. but has anyone had any experience with them? May I ask which mr. Hobby compressor that TM sell? I got a mr. Linear com petit set though.

QUOTE(madmoz @ Jul 27 2008, 09:57 AM) they will bring in any model you want from japan. Is the linear petit any good? So what model of mr hobby compressor cost rm1k+ like you said? About mr.Linear petit, well it's really small, light and quiet. For the pressure I say 7-8psi max. Since I bought in set, it comes with a 0.4 ab and a functional air regulator and filter. But yes you need a step down transformer since it runs on 110v.

no i mean which model mr hobby compressor that TM bring cost rm1k+? There are 3 models namely mr. linear petit, L5 and L7. So which model cost 1k+ to bring in?
I once eye on iwata is-50 but the price is double compare to Japan so I turn to mr. Hobby instead.

About rm700. I ask my freind to buy when he was training in Japan. Fair enough. I choose petit since it's small to carry onboard, otherwise I would go for L5 which bigger and heavier.

Good luck. One thing good about linear compressor is the breakdown rate is low since it has less mechanical part compare to piston compressor. Which is why i choose it after doing some research.

I'm just interested since madmoz mentioned about TM bringing in mr. Linear compressor. Otherwise I have to order through online in the future.

Congratulation finally you got yourself a compressor. To be safe it's better to add a moisture trap.

Sorry I can't help you on this, but I read where they can buy the trap in airbrush thread.

Since she said it's built in, you should try it out before rushing for the trap. Btw what ab did you buy?
