We totally understand the board rules and the need for it except as explained to you when U asked, the thread wasn't a sales related thread - it was merely a thread offering personal favours.

As mentioned, I totally understand the rules but U can't say this is commercial just because money exchanged hands - string mentioned he might be travelling to NZ and we asked for a favour - he told us he'll keep us updated when his trip is confirmed and he did. If ur friend asked U to purchase him something from Australia, I'm quite sure U would ask him for cash upfront; especially when the item is going to cost U RM3k, isn't it?!

This isn't the 1st time he's offered to make purchases for us on his travels but this is the one time with overwhelming response - due to the newly introduced product which is unavailable here in MY.

I'm sure his generosity and kindness was extended only to those on AppleByte because we'd developed a 'friendship' through this channel. Am quite sure he wasn't going to start offering to make purchases for just about any strangers; y go through the trouble?!

@everyone else,
We should just respect the Admin/Mod's decision; am sure each has a set guideline to follow. The difference is in the interpretation of the guideline - we might not consider this a sales thread but the Mod/Admin who moved it might have interpretated differently. This situation really sits in the grey area so there's no right or wrong.

Also, we shouldn't start finger-pointing.

And, as much as what's done is done it can always be reverted like I said - people do make mistakes in life; it's whether or not they're courageous enough to own up to it [read: I am NOT saying it was a mistake made by the authorities]

admin / mods has no "budi bicara" at all... same as computer program that can't "think" out-of-the-loop, it follow the sequences and follow what it being program for... just my opinion

Hmm... Maybe Mods should concentrate on Trade Forums for "people" selling items, such as Apple products through unauthorized means.

Anyone wants to look through some Apple product sales threads and report them to Apple Malaysia?? I bet they are NOT authorized resellers.

Hi Tinkerbel...i subscribed that thread, and usually checked in the thread subscription list under my control panel for new post. But couldn't find it today already.

Guess that if it has been moved to the bulk section, i have to go to the bulk and search it again, then subscribe it again right?

Cause his intention is not Sales in the first place, it was just a favor to us, Apple Byte regulars.

If I was him, I wouldn't want to be branded a seller too when I am genuinely offering it as a favor.

And not forgetting the attitude of some people just annoys the hell out of everyone.
