Interesting piece done by SimHQ. It covers the whole Rainbow Six franchise from the birth of the original on the PC to the latest on consoles.

Funny how the closest thing you can get to the original Rainbow Six MP experience is........ COD4's hardcore mode. laugh.gif

The best in the series is still Raven Shield imo. Tactical & classy...best LAN experience ever.
Also the ability to draw something on you map in multiplayer while the rest of your teammate can see it. thumbup.gif Its original intention is of course to let you plan your tactical assault but you know that won't happen in real world laugh.gif Can't remember how many man's wee wee i've drawn for a childish me during my time in college.

The biggest mistake for console Tom Clancy game is not hiring Bill Brown as their music composer! It's not the same anymore for those who've play the game since the first one.

btw, Splinter Cell Conviction has been pushed back to 2009-2010. Sadness, just hope they do dynamic music with the like of Amon Tobin's work in Chaos Theory, the suspense of sneaking up somebody when the music start rolling in!

LoL never tried that on-the-fly tactical planning.

True true... Bill Brown's work is a classic. Still have the MP3 somewhere.

I'm a great fan of RB6's earlier games..i loved the way it makes you THINK and it's always cool when your plans worked out exactly the way you wanted.

after RavenShield, it's all dumbed down to suit the less patient gamer crowds, but the newer RB6 Vegas games are quite fun, albeit short and lack real tactics..

kinda reminds me of the way my fren used to play rainbow6 back then. he played it like normal fps.

3 teammates wait at r-point, 1 guy go out and kill all the baddies
