iPhone 1st gen 2.0 and iPhone 3G, Is it worth if i buy 1st gen now?

If i buy 1st gen iPhone now and upgrade to 2.0...is it worth than buying a 3G iphone since the price now are very high?
acctually only the 3G GPS and the look not same...others if upgrade to 2.0 all same with 3G iPhone. So can u all pro give me some comments?Because give me its not to much different when compare it. So i dont know whether is it worth to buy or not or depends on the price of 3G version then only buy it. THANKS!  |

imagine 3g for 3k and 1gen for 1k+..
3G with 3g and gps features 1gen without 3g and gps.. so choose it. |

If you want to get the official release, I would wait for Aug 22nd. There will be another set of launches for the iPhone 3G worldwide and with rumors Maxis getting the deal. It might come with subsidy, so it'll be cheaper with the contract. Announcements might happen before that date.

Grab a first gen iphone if you really need now...not many set left...
Wait for iphone 3G to drop the price or you wait for maxis to bring it here NEXT year |
