psp 3000 won't come out so fast... even that's thing is real the improvement were just minor stuff. Not as great as improvement from psp 1000 to psp 2000 whereby they managed to reduce the size and the weight.

It can be a self mod face plate + UMD door~

why implement a mic into the psp, ndsl did it ages ago, now only wan to follow?

Nothing much different with the psp2000...

Sony can make a big improvement for the PSP-3000, by adding another analog stick (for the right thumb) and a built in memory (8, 16gb) and not to forget, support for A2DP stereo bluetooth.

im not a PSP owner, but i suggest they use mini blue ray as their game storage, with bluetooth and wifi lan and also the option to switch on n play the PSP with a PS3 controller...

bigger internal storage and support 5.1 surround system with HD video output.. price tag will definitely reach RM 1k++

they should not improve what has already been improve like the design and weights and etc. improve the quality of display sound and etc would be ideal.

looks normal to me. Nothing much improved apart from updating the buttons to standardize with PS3. Maybe they will bump the processor and RAM to make games load faster and support higher spec games

meh, doubt there will be a new PSP anytime soon. a revision maybe, but not a major hardware change.

they can't even churn out awesome games consistently for the PSP. good games are few and far apart.

i think its impossible to let psp have internal memory, cos like that everyone will use the internal memory and no one will buy their memory sticks anymore.

i dont think memory sticks will be the issue.. this thing that sony should rip off now is the UMD.. UMD haven't been selling well.. they have to face it, people buy the PSP, PSP selling good cuz of gamers taking advantage of the piracy on the hardware instead of buying UMDs..

Kyo, get a the slim one now. Heard that PSP-3000 has new mobo and cannot be customized yet. But who knows, once they even changed to TA-082 for the phat one but still DA did something to it. Unless... DA had an agreement with Sony not to customize the PSP-3000 or he actually involved with the development of PSP-3000 which blocks/closes off exploits. Who knows rite? Oh, and I heard from supplierfriend that the PSP price might be shooting up.

Wow.. PSP-3000 already?? But looking at the new features, there aren't any vast improvements over the PSP-2000. Just some minor updates here and there. Will be sticking to my PSP 2000 ^^

Regarding the price of the PSP Slim and Lite, I think it will only increase if Sony stops producing it in favour of this new model. But the price of the new one is gonna be more exp atm

guys relax. this is just an improvement from 2000. i think they wanna divert our attentions to this in the time being while they are RnD-ing for a better psp. im guessing bluetooth, IR, internal memory, better mem n cpu.

There will be a period where vendors still keep a lot of stock of the PSP-2000. Might take them awhile to sell all of them off. Normally you go to those game shops, you can see that they stack tons of PSPs there ^^. And this is not even the warehouse where they keep all of it.

having a faster screen is nice..but the upgrade from psp2000 is minimal. no 2ng analog? build in hdd? wifi g? more drastic design change? I will just wait for PSP2....

The screen will have twice the response time(which currently on the PSP-2000 is only at 16ms GTG), twice the color gamut and FIVE times the contrast ratio.

Thats a rather big improvement to me. Not to mention theres anti-glare on the LCD too.

As for no 2nd analog, thats a rather obvious choice. If it is included with the PSP-3000 then it'll basically mean Sony is saying "F you" to all the current PSP owners. Older games can't take advantage of it and newer games if they do take advantage of it, the older PSP users will be screwed out.

How much of a drastic change you want? This is just an update refreshment. This is more for new consumers rather than old ones.

are u sure about the difference? haha...it seems that we never notice that the color is psp 2000 is that pale. or is it they simply put a much more rich color image into the new one...n the pale one into the old one? marketing strategy???

This is by Famitsu, so it is unlikely that its purely marketing ploys.

But you're right, it could be just the picture being "purposely" washed out on the 2000. But this is Famitsu we're talking about, the biggest and most reputable gaming mag in Japan and arguably one of the biggest in the world itself(eventhough it is only strictly in Jap language).

I wish the comparison can be made with both of them switching position and again.

Juz notice that the 2000's black is too shinny ( maybe it's only my eye )

i think not too much different on the color, just that 3000 got anti reflection therefore can view clearly in bright areas

On second though. I think its just the anti-glare that made the comparison like that. Or the lighting. Notice the slim on the top is shinier.

that is kinda cool. i do notice when i viewed that picture, the contrast value of the psp 2000 is kinda low. looking at mine right now, and a little washed out. but just a little. if you arent aware of it, then it wont be a problem at all. but what im more interested in is that anti glare feature. really cool man. i mean, playing under the sun is very irritating. even under bright light is somewhat a hassle too.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to add in the second analog stick! Stop saying that! I don't mean it cant be add in physically, but realistically! Imagine those few millions PSP owners without the second analog stick! Can they play those games required second analog?? Common sense right???

It is just my suspicion plus it can PSP3000 with highest brightness and PSP2000 with lowest brightness.

New model means more time to be modded before you can purchase it for its highest value.

Time to get my second PSP... after I've sold my first one. The screen is so much better for movie.

Its not worth the upgrade, both from the PSP-1000(Phat) and PSP-2000(Slim), unless of course your current PSP is already about half dead.

I've already mentioned it, this is mainly for new users. Or for people who want to buy another new PSP(again, not as an upgrade).

the above picture is juz a test for ANTI-GLARE edition. It enchance the PSP Lcd performance under DIRECT Bright light

my guess will be, there is no difference in Colour when playing PSP in the dark

i think the price should be the same as psp2000. As for hacking the firmware....need to wait and see what stock firmware PSP3000 will be using.

i say, for vibrant colors and brighter screen, no arguement there, as for the reflection...
PSP-3000 + any good Screen Protector = same o' PSP-2000 (with screen protector applied, there will bound to be reflection)

CFW-able or not is still an issue... if cannot, stick to PSP-2000....
