i think its impossible to let psp have internal memory, cos like that everyone will use the internal memory and no one will buy their memory sticks anymore.

i dont think memory sticks will be the issue.. this thing that sony should rip off now is the UMD.. UMD haven't been selling well.. they have to face it, people buy the PSP, PSP selling good cuz of gamers taking advantage of the piracy on the hardware instead of buying UMDs..

The new PSP retains the size and features of the current, slimmed-down PSP (PSP-2000), while incorporating some hardware updates:

i think the main reason for this psp is to combat piracy..i guess

agree with that... they still release the game on UMD...hope UMD will not be in the same boat as MD...SONY must do something to boost the sale of UMD..

PSP 2000 if you don't want to wait for people to unlock the PSP 3000 all over again.

Kyo, get a the slim one now. Heard that PSP-3000 has new mobo and cannot be customized yet. But who knows, once they even changed to TA-082 for the phat one but still DA did something to it. Unless... DA had an agreement with Sony not to customize the PSP-3000 or he actually involved with the development of PSP-3000 which blocks/closes off exploits. Who knows rite? Oh, and I heard from supplierfriend that the PSP price might be shooting up.

ya..u rite..the old version Psp price will be up regarding this matter...people will hunt for psp 200X because it can be mod... until the latest one can be hack...phat psp price can be up oso...just my 2 cent...

Wow.. PSP-3000 already?? But looking at the new features, there aren't any vast improvements over the PSP-2000. Just some minor updates here and there. Will be sticking to my PSP 2000 ^^

Regarding the price of the PSP Slim and Lite, I think it will only increase if Sony stops producing it in favour of this new model. But the price of the new one is gonna be more exp atm

well, sony could've done better than this. and yes, just like earthdome said, its to fight against piracy.
guys relax. this is just an improvement from 2000. i think they wanna divert our attentions to this in the time being while they are RnD-ing for a better psp. im guessing bluetooth, IR, internal memory, better mem n cpu.

There will be a period where vendors still keep a lot of stock of the PSP-2000. Might take them awhile to sell all of them off. Normally you go to those game shops, you can see that they stack tons of PSPs there ^^. And this is not even the warehouse where they keep all of it.
