so... generally, buy SG or NZ iPhone is cheaper afterall ?
any chances to get SG Aifontriji outright ?

i'm afraid no. you will need a singaporean friend or relative to sign up a plan for you.

you need to get someone who's a singaporean who is willing enough to take up just the plan while leaving the iphone for you.

in my case, tough luck, my singaporean friends would rather take up the plan together with the iphone for themselves.

i think, i'll try persuade my aunties and uncles. shouldn't be a problem for them if they see the plan fits as they don't have a clue what's this iphone hype all about. heh.

those guys who're putting up hope and their eternal wait for the malaysian release are going to rot their balls and wait even longer. at least you guys in singapore are in the safe zone now.

@tantart,

i am not sure whether it will pose a problem by registering a malaysian account with itunes for your iphone but we're suggesting its best to register by countries where the phone is available, and by this, the safest bet would be the US. this is to ensure it does not flag your iphone back to apple.

I've done the maths, at least RM2500 for an 8GB model. Price includes monthly bill for 24 months and also the mobile phone's price. I was thinking if you have any Singaporean relatives, pay them that amount and let them pay monthly bill and you have the phone.

That's just my quick out of the box idea.  tongue.gif

Btw, iFlexi Value/iPlus and iOne Plus/iTwo Value are the plans that I use to count.

eh? 2500? that's not that bad actually. i'm gonna calculate again.

Added on August 26, 2008, 12:59 pmeh, i calculated the total would be at least SGD1314.32 (RM3138.68) for the 8GB model. this also excludes the misc charges like registration and all that crap. this is based on ione plus.

great to see more routes into getting an iphone available now. though it's a lil bit more expensive but at least not as insane as LYP.
