Ok. Here is my summary on the Singtel Iphone 3G.

2 Majors Plan available:

1st for the newly created iFlexi plan with mobile data bundle
http://home.singtel.com/singtel/iphone/popup_iflexi.html

2nd for the existing plan without mobile data bundle
http://home.singtel.com/singtel/iphone/popup_iplans.html

However, they encourage ppl to sign up on Broadband on Mobile for the existing plan to enjoy Iphone 3G. So i suppose that not compulsory. And there's no term on contract period but i bet it should be on the std 24months contract.

FAQ on Singtel website
http://home.singtel.com/singtel/iphone/sup..._iphone.html#d2

Few notes to point out:

1) Will the SIM be locked to SingTel?
The handset will be preset to the SingTel Network. Phones not connected to the SingTel network will not be supported by SingTel.

2) Will my iPhone work with a StarHub or M1 SIM?
It may work but you may not enjoy the same iPhone experience as SingTel only supports iPhone 3G devices that are connected to SingTel’s network.

3) Can I get an iPhone on prepaid?
At this stage, no.

Those have made reservation previously need to wait for password to login to their site for booking and priority is given to existing singtel customer. Only Comcentre will launch the Iphone 3G on 22nd August and the rest of Hello! Shop on 25th August onwards.

Yup. Especially with the implemented Mobile Portability Number few months back and so postpaid plan is a must i would say. So those intended to import from SG can just forget about it.

@louismhc
I also havent get the password. So just wait as i think currently still have a lot of questions flooding around regarding the plan. For eg, does MIO plan eligible to get the iphone with iOne/iTwo Plus and do they accept trade-in of mobile devices etc.

In fact i feel the price plan is abit pricey. Don't know should i left out data plan to save my pocket. Is there any short-coming as i still can rely on WIFI.

Ya. I guess so data plan mainly for GPS or light web surfing in MRT maybe? But just how often we will need that. For cheapest iFlexi of 1GB data bundle is not much. Unless you go for BOM 1000 which offer up to 50GB @ SGD22.42 monthly but again that's remain a question whether that's applicable to iphone plan. My main concern is to get the MIO plan to replace my M1 broadband. M1 sucks. Any other suggestion?

Not sure yet...but what is is Local Data mean? Limited 1GB/2GB and 3GB?! Totally not understand......what is the different with Iflexi and those Ione plan?  rclxub.gif
*
Local Data means u only able to use it (1GB,2GB or 3GB with iFlexi plan) within SG. Outside SG, roaming data rate will be charged accordingly.

iFlexi plan is the newly created plan cater for Iphone only. It comes with Voice plan + Data.

The iPlan is only voice plan. You have to get Broadband on Mobile (BOM) as a value added service (VAS) if you want to use 3G.

Maybe Ione plan + 22dollar BOM that will save me a lots?
Coz i'm don't call much....most is my frens call me only.
*
i'm also thinking of that but the Iphone price of SGD848 bit set me off. Mostly will get the MIO plan if they allowed.

Ok guyz. Good news. My Maxis SIM card is working fine in my 16G white iphone. On roaming with Singtel Network. Same to my Starhub prepaid. U have access to all the network setting in the phone.

Didn't test out the 3G on my Maxis SIM because I don't have the service.

Sorry bro...not really sure coz this is my first time register a number in singapore.

@Masamune
That's only my personal usage and opinion, maybe your uncle is heavy user.

@rx330
Let's say if you looking for cheaper plan, for my personal view is Ione cost around 30 dollars per month. If you staying in singapore u can get free wireless any where, so don't need any data plan for that too. Although might be a bit slower but it save you more, while at mrt just play game or listen songs lo...no need to surf. nod.gif
*
To my opinion, the postpaid service in SG still expensive compare to prepaid. Postpaid have lots of extra charges for Caller-ID, auto-roaming etc while all the prepaid comes bundled. U dun nid to pay extra for the services.

If not because of the Iphone, i will stick to prepaid plan. Free minutes and sms doesn't really apply to me as mostly i make calls back to m'sia.

So if u wan to subscribe to postpaid just for iphone. My suggestion as below after long survey and compare on the pricing.

Package 1 (i'm using this):
iOne Plus @ 24
BBOM 1000 @ 16 (after 30% discount for 12 mths contract) - here you get 50GB of data
Iphone 16G @ 848

Package 2:
iFlexi @ 56 (u get 100mins more on talk time, 1GB of data only)
Iphone 16G @ 508

Price of 24SGD and 56SGD above only applicable on first 3months. After that you have to factor in the extra value added service (Caller-ID @ 5.35SGD per month)

Connection fee of 10 and SIM card fee of 30 apply to new line application.

So leave it up to u all to decide.

UNLOCK Aifontriji...bro mONSTers i think will get the same plan as you  biggrin.gif
Phucking singaporean kiasu....all also charge
!_$#_)#$*%$_^*%&_

Bro mONSTers do you ask about terminate plan? Might think of terminate it after 3 months brows.gif
*
I forgot to ask about it. Perhaps you can find it out for me when u get urs.

However, in the contract, there is clauses as below:

Item 1: Service Plan: iOne Plus
Item 2: Equipment Model: Apple Iphone-16GB White
Item 3: Price payable upon downgrade of service plan (excl GST): $350
Item 4: Price payable upon termination (excl GST): $350

there is another clause:

For customer purchasing the iphone together with a new subscription contract, any subsequent handset upgrade shall only be permitted no earlier than 12mtns prior to expiry of the said subscription contract. An amount of $300 shall be payable for such handset upgrade in addition to the price of the handset. A $800 downgrade charge shall be imposed in the event of any downgrade of subscription plans (including Classic to iOne plus and P700 to iTwo Plus) at any time during the respective subscription period.

That's all.

care explain to me the pros and cons of tat 2 lines ar? sorry man... i really tarak paham... blush.gif

Dun go for that. That's only 500MB data per month. Go for the BOM 1000. Current promotion of 30% discount so you just pay around $16 per month for 50GB data.
