hey there guys, im considering getting a ds lite. just wanna ask what flashcard are u using at the moment and how much wud u rate it out of 10?

i'm considering getting either an Acekard 2, EDGE or Supercard DS One. R4, DSTT and CycloDS users are also welcome here.

My brother brought home D6 for me once. Its a 2 slot cart, so you can play both GBA and DS games.

I think D6 is no longer supported though. Mine broke down after 6 month.

R4 is fine with me

R4 & Edge.
R4 is very good, but not support sdhc n only support until 2gb.
Edge, support sdhc n over 2gb. GOOD!!

is hard to compare all flash card.
for me, can play game, already very good.

n also, now my R4, i not dare to update to v1.19 (not release yet),
bcoz i dunno my is original R4 or what.... i scare my ds will bricked!!

Feature-wise, I'd hit the CycloDS. R4s are considered old, but they still have good compatibility with lots of homebrews as it has a huge userbase, including the M3 Simply.

I'm using R4 too. So far so good.

Bricked DS? Never heard of that before.

Anyone can clarify this? This is worrying me.

tat was back in the days when DS uses flashme firmware...nowadays there is no need to change the DS firmware....

So, there is nothing to be worried about when I update R4? Good news then.

DSTT is fine with me , no hang no lag encounter b4 ~

i have help install r4 on many ds and no problemo at all .. even have two of my own..
however can't say much about dstt and supercard ds.. a lot of problems...

It's a funny twist that the R4DS, a product used mostly for pirating games, has found itself now battling it out with counterfeits carts that have infiltrated the market, but we assume that's just how Chinese flashcart companies roll.

CycloDS no choke, incompatibility or whatsoever.
more like using it for a test-run/demo playing.if the title is good most probably i'll ended up buying the title.

Officially, there isn't any 1.19 yet from the R4 Team till September. The current 1.19 kernel for R4s is a hoax.

Geez, so how do I check the authentic of my R4?

oh yeah, what microsd are u using for ur ds lite? is there any specific brand of microsd for the ds lite or can all brands like sandisk and kingston be used? and which brand is the best?

and lets say i get a 4gb memory card, is it possible for me to use 2gb of memory for games and 2gb of memory for songs/photos?

well what's problem u've heard of regarding SuperCard DS One? I'm getting one, I also consider EDGE, but since SuperCard got real-time save, i choose it

Am I the only one using Acekard 2? It is one of the finest looking flashcarts around, I love the os, check these out. Never had a problem with it, I also have Ez-flash 3 in 1 in my SLOT2 and my Acekard supports it natively via custom firmware, makes them a great combo.
