Hello there! I am planning to visit Hanoi + Sa Pa in the coming February.

I would like to know:

1. If it will be better to purchase the trekking tour in Hanoi or Sa Pa?

2. Say, if I purchase the trekking tour in Hanoi - where will I be leaving my luggage? Do I leave it with the tour agency in Hanoi or I can also leave it in Sa Pa? What if I wanted to stay a bit longer in Sa Pa?

3. Is it more interesting to go Sa Pa via bus or train?

Hello there,

I hope this information is helpful for you.

1. Would be better to buy the package in Hanoi before departing to Sapa.
2. When you check out, you can store your luggage at hotel but need to inform to reception
3. I recommend you to combine both Bus & Train.

Cheers, Lily

Hi everyone, I am going to Hanoi end of Nov, and would like to ask how is the weather usually like at that time? I have read that its going to be cooling, but I hope anyone who has experienced it the year before can tell if I'm gonna need a light jacket of a thick one. I will be travelling to places like Ha Long Bay, Trang An, and Thien chung cave.

Thanks biggrin.gif

personal experience, but few years ago.

1. i book the tour online. using local Sapa H'mong run company tour. At least money back to the local H'mong people.

http://sapaochau.org/ - i using this tour at that time. they can help you book train ticket also.

https://sapasisters.com/ - i din choose this cause more expensive, but meet their tour in the same homestay,

2. i leave it the hotel.

3. Take train better, ask the tour help you book, sleeper class. but not cheap.

nope..you don't need to. when you arrive there, you can see plenty of tour operators stall..

Or u can book with your hotel, most of the hotel or guesthouses have package too..and you can also avoid scam.

hi guys,
I have booked my ticket to Hanoi, staying for 9 days there
I've started planning for my trip but can't seem to find enough activities and places to visit for 9 days there
probably halong bay, ninh binh and maybe sapa..
sapa seems quite cold and I don't want to burden myself with extra baggage of winter clothing...
please share your thoughts..
