Hey guys, hope u guys can help me out here. i'm taking my gf out for her birthday next month, and it's going to be just the two of us. any suggestions on where we could have a nice dinner/lunch at 1utama, the curve or sunway? cos i think she would like to watch a movie or shop around after dinner/lunch. so i prefer eating in the mall. i was thinking of Chili's, but she went there a few times already and i'm afraid she might be bored with that place. my budget is about rm150 for 2 person... i know it's not too much... but i need to save up for her birthday present as well..

i know... the restaurants outside are better than the ones inside the mall.. and i'm excited to eat somewhere classy outisde too... but i just dont think my gf is the kind of girl who likes to go to multiple places.. if possible, she wants to eat there, shop there, watch a movie there, all at the same mall... that's the prob... but thanks anyway

ohh... i think i know that cafe.. from far it looks a bit like a boutique selling clothes.. but when i look closely, then i realize it's actually a cafe... hmm, will survey that place soon! and i love desserts! thanks!

if i'm single, that would be another advantage of that place... will go with frens instead..

anyway, any of u guys ever dined at gardens cafe at 1 utama ground floor? the one besides the escalator... the atmosphere looks nice, but dunno if the food is nice or not...

hehe, when i mentioned fine dining i was actually referring to a decent and nice place to eat for two people... not exquisite dining places like the ones u guys are going to... can't afford one (although i would like to go there too)... ok, will change the contents of my request..

huh? 55? for a dining place listed in migf site? i thought places like that would cost about rm100 per head.... anyway, i can only afford rm150 at most for 2 person... somewhere halal, cos we're muslims.. if they serve alcohol, it's allright cos we can just order something else to drink... i really dunno much about fine dining, sorry.. i think my budget would only allow me to eat at a nice place like delicious cafe...

hmm, i guess Tony Roma and The Apartment is quite convenient too.. since both are available at the curve... and i've been wanting to try out those ribs for quite some time now.. hehe. now i have a few available options! thanks goldfries! never knew u'd be helpful in stuff besides hardware..

whoa... never knew being a mod has such benefits... lucky u! anyway, i heard about izzi pizza from my fren too.. he likes fine dining too, and he said that izzi pizza is the best he ever had so far. better than all those franchise pizza like pizza hut, domino, shakeys, etc. must pay a visit soon!

at italiannies can touch touch grope grope... not many people and the seats near the wall are high... but of course i never did any of those lar... my gf would slap me even if i touch her tummy...

i went to italiannies once and i ordered the same thing too! the spaghetti carbonara was really nice, it was very creamy and the portions are quite generous too.. too bad we went there once, cos this time she said she wants to try something new... but i have to decide and surprise her... what a heahache..

naah, i dont think i'll be going to pavillion... cos my gf dont like shopping where she cannot afford.. guess i'll stick to the previous choices.. thanks anyway!

hehe... i know... but my gf like to sit facing each other... not side by side... so cannot touch touch or anything... even if sit next to each other, she doesnt like it if i touch her a lot... huhu... but that's a good thing... because if both also hamsap, then... hehe

at pavillion? hmm, yeah, i'll be needing a romantic atmosphere as well... if too crowded not suitable la.. cannot even talk to each other properly... screaming "i love u!" wont sound so romantic... unless the main purpose going there is just to enjoy food, then crowded also can... ahjames, ur avatar is ur gf is it?

i know... but he has so many diff pics of the same girl, and that girl doesnt look like an artist or someone famous, so i thought maybe his gf la... if she is, then he's one lucky guy...

oh.. i thought third floor as in a real third floor.. anyway, i already looked at the first post before.. those are way out of my league (but they're really tempting)... unless they have some promotion or buffet, then it's a different story la... maybe rm150 ngam2 for one person... or two if simple meal like dim sum...

ohh.. forgot to tell... i live in selayang... but not very familiar with the roads around kl and pj... only know how to get to times square, klcc, mid valley, 1utama, curve, sunway... those major shopping complexes and malls..

oh trust me... can hardly find anything edible around those malls... although there are new shops opening in selayang mall like cone pizza, secret recipe, and penang express... might go there for casual dinner, cos near to my place... they say the best char kuey teow is at penang express, although i seriously doubt that.. i dont think there's a fine or decent dining place in selayang or kepong area... most expensive pun secret recipe only... hard to find good food around my place...

italiannies is nice, but went there for her last birthday.. so this time cannot.. but rm150 should be more than enough for 2 people, cos their price is quite reasonable actually, even though the portions are quite generous... and the bench seats would be perfect if my gf is horny like me, unfortunately she's not.. i'll stick with tony romas and delicious for the time being... not the best, but more convenient... and maybe after dinner can go to baskin robbins, her favourite ice cream place.. u guys helped out a lot! thanks!

yup, we're both malays... but man, bacons are so tempting... too bad i can only eat beef bacon and not the real deal... maybe i should buy some bacon salt from bulk orders... hmm... by the way, stadt serves pork (and there's a huge variety of them!), so cannot.. and the other thing is, i love sausages, but she doesn't (i mean the real edible german-sausages)...

anyway, yeah, selayang mall's secret recipe is always crowded... but most people dont actually go there to enjoy the food... they just order a cake or a pie and a drink, and chat with frens for hours... maybe bcos it's still new... after a while it'll be quiet like the rest of secret recipe franchise...

yup, i know that bavarian bierhaus at the curve.. went there a few months ago, but found out they serve pork.. man, i spent a lot of time trying to convince my gf to eat there cos i wanna try out their huge sausages, but when we saw the menu... so sad...
