Aye fellow LYNs.

Purpose of this thread would be mainly on choosing an option on ISP other than Streamyx.

Reason is not because of the typically hatred feelings towards Streamyx but annoyingly, it's because the new unit I'm moving to (tomorrow) not having any phone line atm. And word is that it might take them till somewhere around Sept - Q4 of 2008 for full installation of phone line for the whole condo. So, here I am tryin to find some solutions for other temporary connection that I could opt for.

I've heard words about Hotlink being a total pain in the arse and what not. But what I don't know is about other available options such as Celcom Broadband and stuff like that.

So, any kind soul care to drop me a point or 2?

I'm in dire need of connectivity once I officially move into my new hse which is by Wednesday, for my daily purpose which includes life and death =x

Edit: Oshyt.. I forgot this is WoW section >< But well, I guess it does matter since I play WoW.. so meaning.. I'm searchin for other option of broadband that could at least handle WoW for the time being..

try streamyx more than 2mb...

DiGi sux...Maxis Sux.... so i think Celcom sux as well
so far my streamyx has not much problem other than frequent slowdown (but no disconnect)

Well yeah.. I do know that Streamyx is the 'best' option for us living in Malaysia. But problem is that there is no way for me to use Streamyx for few months. At least not until the condo management or TmNut installed proper phone line in the new condo. By then only I could opt back for Streamyx.

Since no phone line, the best is go for wireless broadband. As I know, celcom broadband is the best. Well, celcom own by TM, streamyx own by TM. Any better line better than TM in Malaysia.

I'm actually thinking of that too PeeNut. But I know no one who's using Celcom broadband. What's their CS phone number ah? =p

Hmmm.. ok. I'll try to trace Odinn.. but only thing that's stopping me from doing that now is Streamyx lol. I cant surf most websites and often get timed out even from LYN =/

I'll keep my fingers crossed until I check with the condo management tmr when I move in myself together w my chick and my stuff and all my rubbish =p When I went there to clean the hse up, I did noticed about a streamyx flyer sticked on the notice board but couldn't look at it in detail cz the lift arrived 'on time'. So yeah, it's either that or something. Had a word w Oodin and the story about the 6k bill from Celcom is a note to be kept as well.

All in all, I wouldn't be able to make it for this weekend's raid or something. Good enough since I have my final project due next week. And then there's my final exam by next month. Do help me to inf our GM about me MIA-ing for a bit.

I'll be able to check on this thread on my lappy whenever I get to college or starbucks or something. So yeah, later =p

there is Ezynet and U Mobile...
U mobile might be good since they still new..not much ppl using that yet..so connection will be better..

ezynet have package whereby u can terminate on 1,3,6,12 month...
of course no full refund and only accordingly how long u use n they refund for u...this is good until u wired broadband....

well..still depend where u stay
