the power supply is built in and supports 110v ~ 240v. No modification necessary. Any one say need to modify, it is a con job.

Chances slim as the new 80GBs would sell at the current 40GB prices. Furthermore comes with dualshock3. If anything, 40GB price might drop.

bukanmain, not to be rude but if you checked around, you will find out that not even sonystyle has stock.

I do believe nelson when he says that the ps3s are stuck @ custom, cause this has been mentioned elsewhere in the forum, and even sony malaysia needs to go thru customs before they can distribute it to the retailers.

Hope you exercise restraint and caution before claiming people are not being honest with you, especially since you either have not researched or are not aware of the details of the msian ps3. It just portrays yourself as ignorant.

they were selling @ 179 or 189 during launch. Not too sure of the price now.

i would hold off any purchase till sept in case the rumored slim comes out. That will surely reduce the price of any existing ps3s.

Seems like reports from other markets are hinting on a phasing out of the 80gb and likely a new sku announcement in sept. Supposedly cheaper SKU as well.

Of coz whether cheaper or not *shrugg* but things will usually be clearer by then. Guess depends how much more stuff Sony cuts from it. I mean is there any real harm for him to wait that 1 month?

Cannot. But IIRC registering your warranty online gives you 3 extra months. Not sure whether still on or not.

1) Warranty is only for local market. Being in Vietnam, I am not sure how often you come to Malaysia or even Singapore to get claim your warranrt\\ty. Here there both MY warranty PS3s and SG warranty PS3s (cheaper) available. JP sets are a bit rarer. But there is NO international warranty PS3s that I am aware of.
2) Looking @ your address I am guessing it is either Renaissance or Concorde. You are actually physically close to Bernard of Gamer's Solution, one of the recommended dealers in the forum. Give him a call when you are in town. I am sure he won't mind CODing with you @ your hotel.
3) See (2). Drop him a PM and maybe Bernard can source for you
4) See (2). Games depend on availability and be careful of some vendors which may charge you an arm and a leg for it, especially since you are a tourist. Suggest you get from a reliable source like Bernard. There are a lot of vendors in the Lowyat forums offering competitive pricing.

That said, you can consider getting your PS3 games and accessories online from Play-Asia as they do ship to Vietnam. Free shipping as well with terms and conditions.
