QUOTE(llllll @ Jul 20 2008, 03:04 PM) bro i think u must check the latest news...coz i have been using cydia for a month already He's right. Cydia and Bootneuter are a part of the Dev Team's 'franchise', so to speak, along with PwnageTool. The right statement would be that Installer 4.0 isn't available on the custom 2.0 firmware package in the above link, while Cydia is. By the way guys, it'll take some time before the TPB link in there gains enough seeds to sustain a smooth download, so it'll take some time for those who intend to try it. A note though, I've been lurking in the WinPwn channel for sometime now and there have been reports of bricking for some who have tried it. Conclusion : Try it at your own risk, or at least wait for more success reports before attempting. I'm sitting it out until a real WinPwn's released SOON

QUOTE(frozzbyte @ Jul 20 2008, 04:27 PM) Its the same when 1.1.4 came out last time. I wait it out till most of the app that i'm using from installer are compatible with it. No point of upgrading when all the apps thats been useful are gone. Not to mention that the FW2.0 are abit buggy to start with. If i upgrade now, not only i'm left without my trusty apps but when the FW2.0.1 comes out, I need to restore/upgrade AGAIN. So might as well wait for FW2.0.1 comes out and the developers port their apps to installer or Cydia and THEN upgrade. Kills 2 bird with one stone ... izzinit? It's not that FW2.0 is not tempting, it is, but i'm just weighing my options here. Super Monkey Ball or Crash Bandicoot or iPhone Remote can wait. I have Neverball (which is so susah to play) to keep me company. Well put, mate. Additionally, I'm holding out on the update until WinPwn is officially release because personally, the 2.0 software isn't much of an upgrade to me right now, as the bigger titles like MS Office and so aren't out yet. An update now would mean a significant chance of something going wrong during the whole update, plus hours more effort trying to get the phone back in action. I had my share of headaches and hyper-pissed moments with 1.1.4, will definitely wait this one out
