Restart your iPhone after every major installation, dont be too giddy to straight away jump into the apps.
If this already make you chicken out, then huge installations such as from apps like Scrabble, or Foreflight will make you weep.
It may not just be the apps, but the combination of the apps plus your custom IPSW. Maybe Pwnage 2.0 is not ready for primetime.

First of all, why are you using someone else's firmware but your own? His configuration may be totally different from yours. Cook your own using the Pwnage app, and go from there. You're already taking a huge risk running custom firmwares that you dont know the origin of.
This is not "tampal, pakai, buang", this is your beloved iPhone, man!

They're using the cook up firmware downloaded thru torrent. Someone just created a custom firmware using pwnage 2.0 so people that already pwned their phone with winpwn can upgrade to FW2.0. I suspect that the custom firmware are buggy because that person might have used the iPhone1,2_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw instead of iPhone1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore.ipsw. Last time people who use the iPhone1,2_2.0 ( meant for iPhone 3G) on 1st gen iPhone report the lags and buggy situation. Please download from a trusted source/person and don't just download from anywhere. Or you can ask someone with a Mac to create the custom FW using the correct IPSW file.

Then for heaven's sake, be patient and wait it out till the Windows version comes out.
This is not a race, people. Even if it is, the point of a race is to survive the race and come out breathing in the end. It is better to end up later but safe and sound, than rushing to be the first at the finish line and crash and burn.
Which is better, waiting for a few more days and doing this safely, or rushing this up and end up having to wait even longer because you screw up and had to get a new iPhone? Hell, someone at Apple could even disguise himself as a helpful Samaritan, and slip it out hoping to prove a point about jailbreaking and its consequences. Think, people, think!

hi,
to those successfully upgraded to 2.0 with the method posted in www.iunlocked.org, a question, after u flashed the BootNeuter and before u restore to already-made custom firmware 2.0, do u clarify whether there's signal? i mean is ur iphone still unlocked?

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jul 20 2008, 02:49 PM) Just wondering, since this is a breakthrough development for both the iPhones and iPod Touch, why not do mass unlocking/jailbreaking? Organize a big meetup with everyone and do jailbreaking/unlocking together. Just a thought. That's a great suggestion. I am supporting it 100%.

QUOTE(mikelee @ Jul 21 2008, 11:01 PM) That's a great suggestion. I am supporting it 100%. You see, if we do it this way, the guys who are stuck with only Windows, can still use Pwnage on people with Macs at these gatherings, to properly cook and install the custom firmwares. I see people updating left and right with custom firmwares that they dont know come from where, without a single worry of that custom firmware bricking their iPhones. This is dangerous practice.
