im just wondering about this,

its a design i would like to do for my case mod, so i need advise.


question :
1) will it be effective?
2) will it generate much cooling?
3) is there any different?

i would suggest u to get an air duct instead,focus the air to a particular area.

Pointless.. if the 120mm doesnt pull much CFM, the 80mms wont make any difference. If vice versa, same case (strong 120mm, weak 80mms)

My usual layout on air cooling.



If you dont mind a bit of noise, get one of AllnGap's monster 120mm. Airflow goes all the way to the back of your case... unless if youre using CM Cosmos

Aftermarket fans are mostly crap.. yes they glow brilliantly, but their main purpose is not carried out at all.

am using 2 x 80mm vizo fan and CM silent 120mm

Why not just fix 2 120mm fans? susah susah mod another 2 80mm for nothing.

cuz the out come wont look nice if put 2x120mm fan..

i think you should concentrate more on the pull factor. Stronger pull will result in better cooling. The intake can be moderate. If your intake is stronger than your pull, turbulence would occur and cause more heat trapped inside the case..

u mean exhaust. aint that will suck all the air out without giving total 100% coolnes to mobo?

120mm fans generally are quieter for whatever performance level you can achieve for 80mms, so consider the noise factor.

ya better u only need 2 in front and 1 at the back should be enough for your cube

Usual case got 4 5.25' slots right?

I keep my wares simple (1 ROM) so I got 3 slots left ngam ngam fit one 120mm fan

Then take 4mm plexi cut a fan bracket superglue to the steel chasis

That will be the last progress on Paperazzi so right now no pic on the bracket since haven't cut it.
