The maintenance is a cover up for their "cost saving" program.

My regular TM technician revealed abit of stuff to me. Their usual maintenance is just port reset and account backup. Worse is that some of the equipment is high time and they overlook it. Instead of adding more racks for more ports, they squeeze more into it. This means, if a rack could only hold 200 ports, they squeeze in another 200.

So, do not hope that the maintenance will improve the speed. For me, its a 50/50 hope

I reconnect and reconnect and... i landed on 60.49.x and the speed is normal for me. Any other IP that that is giving me huge problems in accessing international sites as well as some local and MSN.

100 line is hopeless too. 1300 88 9515 for Streamyx. Give it a try. I usually use that to bombard them
