My speed wont exceed 200kbps (note not KB/s)... it's almost like i'm wrongly capped since i can get consistent speed at around 200kbps but not anything higher...

TMnet speedometer and speedtest.net both shows that i'm hovering around 200kbps, this is also confirmed by my router and i get really consistent speed around 30KB/s during downloads or surfing... whats the probability that they screwed up my capped speed?

Same here. zzzzz..... Hotmail is weird... sometimes can log in, often cannot... blank screens (login and logouts too). Some sites still slooooowwww.... like pages were "done" but lots of stuff like images are loaded halfway or missing...  mad.gif

Seems my TOTAL downstream bandwidth cannot exceed 30KB/s, even at this time!!! Why am I paying for 33% bandwidth? My suspicion is the indiscriminate throttling, seems Screamyx traffic shapers only monitors the first headers of the HTTP request... If go thru proxy server, its ignored because the first header is the proxy request... not the actual HTTP request (which comes after the proxy request has been authenticated)...  That could be the reason why proxy servers much faster... vmad.gif

You are not the only one who complains to SKMM. How about changing your perspective and take all the rants as user reports instead of complains. It is very useful to know if you're the only one or there are others facing similar problems and best is if they share deeper information and solutions to them. It's not like they rant to you and yet you're making a big fuss out of it telling people off that they should keep their mouth shut and lodge a report to SKMM. How you know they didn't? If you can't take other ppl's rants here then either you don't read this thread or keep it to yourself.

Oh? My office uses streamyx 2MB line for varsity staff, and to show you how awesome it is, let me show you this
*removed*
Remember that the 1MB homeline are shared between broadband users, thus the slower speed. Business lines are dedicated, and the speed is as what they promise you

That's a very beautiful upload speed you got there... SDSL? What's the actual capped speed?
